Arsenal Thread - 2023/24

One thing with Rashford is he is a threat on the break but rags would want at least 60m and they'll have to match rags wages of 350ka week
Is he really a threat on the break?

Usually, he sprints towards the opponents' goal, is shepherded wide by a defender, and then blasts into the side netting, wildly wide or over.

He’s ridiculously overrated by the fawning media, but a rag, with whom I used to work, didn’t rate him at all.

Arteta will get more out of him he will coach him to when to press and where to be, they have a lot of possession so will learn when to attack plus he is another premier has been Arteta has bought if he buys him to improve.. be a good buy for Arsenal at around 50/60m

Possibly, but his attitude this last season to pressing was truly pathetic, considering the wages he is on.

I'm guessing they probably could be but they earn from sitting at home.
Probably. However, that's a tad distasteful, as they presumably generate more traffic from negative events than they do from positive events. After all, there are far more fans of other teams than fans of Arsenal, so watching Arsenal lose and having a meltdown is arguably better for your business. Going to attract greater fans of schadenfreude, so your losing spectacularly is more in your interests than not. Odd profession attracts odd people.

It's a given that a striker who scores just 7 goals in a season isn't up to much. He has and is still being given the 'nited premium because he has to be good doesn't he?

On a fortune with no basis for that other than the rags "protecting an asset" that has proved ordinary in every way, if he didn't play for the rags he'd be a championship player or less by this time in his career.
