The Calafiori deal seems to have been done. Terms agreed with the player, finalising payment terms with Bologna. Deal value £50m. Other party involved is Juventus but Bologna refusing to deal with Juve as they pinched the Bologna coach.

Kivior going to Juventus for around £20m, we sold an U21 Striker Mika Biereth to Sturm Graz for £4m.

Arteta about to sign a new 3 year deal at £250k a week, remaining the 2nd highest paid PL manager after Pep. That's about right, I do think he's the 'best of the rest' after Pep so it's important we tie him down.

Another rumour building up a head of steam regards us signing a 'German player currently at Euro 24'. Whilst we've been linked with Kimmich if he went to the PL surely it would be City. Then talk turned to Musiala as apparently he's keen to go to the PL and grew up in England, but again, I think given the likely competition for that signature it would take all of our transfer kitty and wages. If he left Bayern it would surely be Madrid or City.

So the latest 2 names are Wirtz and Sane, and latest chat is that it's likely to be Sane. So another City reject lol but apparently Arteta knows him well. Let's see - he'd be a decent signing but age profile isn't a typical Arsenal 'big money' one, he's a right winger and we already have Saka and neither of those are going to want to sit on the bench.

Sane much better on the left and would be a great signing even though he is a bit inconsistent and not as quick. At his best he is unplayable.
