Arsenal Thread | 2024/25

The difference is when Allison was fouled your player was competing for the ball and made a movement toward Allison.

Ben White for instance, would know where the ball is going to be played, and he will literally plant himself in an area that blocks the keeper's pathway to the ball. In a literal sense, all he is doing it standing rooted to a spot. White literally just stands rooted to the spot like a pot plant. There is no 'literal' foul.

Another thing, is we also have to defender corners, and Raya doesn't seem to get locked in like other keepers. Infact Raya often comes to claim the ball.

My honest assessment. Were a big team, we have an absolute number of units in the team at any given time. The average height and weight of the Arsenal team on majority of occasions would be taller/heavier than our opponents. Were not fouling teams, were just out muscling and out jumping them. Everyone got so used to the idea Arsenal are a soft touch, a cliche from the days of Wenger when we used to stack nimble nifty attacking midfielders like Nasri, Cesc, Cazorla, Arshavin, Rosicky, Hleb ect. Teams had a lot of fun bullying Arsenal. Bolton, Blackburn and Stoke especially. Now though, its Arsenal that are doing the bullying and our rivals dont like it.
Still bollocks , you are a team of cheating , diving fucking twats

Arsenal are brilliant at set pieces, but won't make many friends with the amount of time it takes to actually take them

I hadn't noticed until Martin Keown referenced this deliberate tactic whilst commentating at their CL game in Porto last season, but if a corner gets headed out for another corner the ball is literally out of play for 2 minutes.

The match officials never seem to include it when calculating the added time, especially today when only 5 minutes were given (despite it taking almost 3 minutes from Saka's "winning" goal to it being disallowed)
Highlighted most at Spurs earlier in the season. They got a corner after 40 seconds of the game and it wasn’t taken until the 2 minute mark.

Boring.

It must be that game.

I was trying to remember which game it was when Saka took ages to take an early corner and then it was headed out for another corner

I recall shouting FOR FUCKS SAKE! but I'd forgotten who they were playing.

I hate being right about coneboy, yet the artetasexuals wont listen to anything that will interrupt their circlejerk over their fraud manager.

Arsenal are finishing 4th highest max, although it would be hilarious if villa and forest finish above us.

Coneboy please hand in your resignation tonight and go back to your level laying out cones for the getafe manager.

I fell out of love for arsenal the way coneboy handled the ozil and the other contract terminations of the players at the time.

The handling of auba was disgusting and was the last straw with coneboy. His consistent failure to win trophies and not getting sacked for it further infuriates me with this club.

Fair enough

Ozil had all the talent in the world but none of the application and Auba was taking the piss with his attitude around training and setting a bad example. These players hardly flourished after they left.

When you're up against Pep and Klopp, the most common outcome is not winning trophies but nobody can say Arteta hasn't transformed the club. Whether we win something or not let's see but we were a soft touch before he joined. Today, nobody will want to pull Arsenal out of the hat in a cup competition, even the very top sides will want to avoid us. Pep won't fancy an FA cup tie at the Emirates, that much is for sure.

Anyway as if Arsenal weren't unlikeable enough to supporters of other clubs, it seems Elon Musk is sniffing around the club with a view to a possible takeover/investment.
