Arsenal Thread | 2024/25

Well I'm going to stay away from the post match thread as it will be 'warm'. Overall 1st Arsenal goal was poor reffing, Gabriel's goal was fine, Trossard is an idiot but I thought the 2nd yellow should have been for the barge on Silva (either way was a red), we defended brilliantly with 10 men, City dug in and maintained their unbeaten home record, I'd have taken a draw at the start, I think this fixture will be a bad blood fixture moving forward. And breathe.
If you are completely honest are you not embarressed by how your team plays? Snide fouls, fake injuries etc. It's terrible to watch.

Same old Arse eh? Ironic you were undone by your own anti football tactics. Arteta has done well to pull together a team of players in his own thoroughly detestable mould

I don't like the 'tactical timeouts'. Raya did one, I'm sure others did as well. It's Mourinho crap that I don't want to see.

There were some genuine cramp issues though - Calafiori and Timber both went off with it and we had Kivior and Lewis-Skelly at the end in defence.

The red was fair enough but it ruined the game as a spectacle and forced Arteta into playing shithouse-ball. Who knows what the score would have been had Trossard stayed on - maybe the same outcome but would have been a better game. But City should be worried that they were largely rendered impotent by that defensive line and also vulnerabilities at set plays were shown. Pep will need to fix that.

Walker had a mixed game - was at fault for both Arsenal goals but also nullified the out ball to Martinelli with his pace. I'd still have played Rico Lewis to be honest but there's a reason Pep is a manager and I'm not.

PS forgot to add Rodri going off made a massive difference. I genuinely hope the lad isn't badly injured and wish him a smooth recovery.

How the fuck did you know if the “cramp” issues are real, your lot have tried to game the match so I will be polite but fuckoff

The fact that Timber and Calafiori went off and were subbed for a crap Polish reserve player and an uncapped 17 year old are probably big clues.
