Not read the whole thread but has anyone mentioned that no one can win the league without a recognised striker. A whole season with a false 9? Nah, nobody is going to win the league doing that, are they?
Not fair to compare though is it. You can't compare the likes of Sterling and Jesus to what we had back then. ;)

They blame Jesus who did that & has cabinet full of trophy’s.

Delicious.
I just wanted to post that, they are back!!! :) Listened to some Ars supporters on tS last night, they want Arteta out, what a bunch of bellends!. Just imagine if they had a meltdown like us, Robbie would be assassinated during one of these interviews. Stay humble bruvs!

Robbie seems a good guy, he puts up with some proper shite.

You are ignoring money spent within that and Arteta has spent a small fortune. Being competitive is the first steps, growing and then becoming winners is the next step, that step can start with a cup, a bit like us in 2011. We grew as a club, became competitive whilst winning a cup first, getting top 4 then challenging for titles. They are competing, spending a lot whilst not winning anything. Failure might be a stretch but he might have gone as far as he can take them

They aren't spending a lot in comparison to the teams they're competing with.

If you mean transfer spend, then that's a big red herring. You have a larger net transfer spend when you're changing a squad, but that's only a small part of the puzzle. If you look at Pep's second summer, where we had a net spend of around £200m, the overall impact on our finances wasn't anything like as big, as we were offloading a larger squad of highly paid, older players, with little resale value.

Since Arteta took over, Arsenal will have had nearly £750m less in revenue than Liverpool, and well over £1b less than City. Despite that transfer spend, they have a wage bill that is much, much smaller than ours, and will have "spent" a lot less than Liverpool, City and United during his time there.

The last two seasons are the only two times they've had over 80 pts in the last sixteen seasons, and during that time, they only got above 75 pts once. 84 and then 89 is hugely impressive, given their finances.

Although in their defence and as much as I love the fella it was clear as day that you couldn't build an attacking team round him.
When we played them in the cup a few years back and they were gobbing off round town , i had the pleasure walking along side a few of them. Got chatting to one bloke who was ok. He was laughing saying weve given them the last pieces of the jigsaw in jesus and zinchenko.
I laughed louder and told him theres a very good reason we let them go, especially to potential title challengers, they just arent quite good enough. Good, but not great.
He wasnt having it.

The rest is history as they say and i often wonder if that famblud sometimes sits and thinks, “that fackin norvern mankey was right!!!!”

I wonder, looking at what Dick has achieved at Villa, if there are some within the cheating Arsenal camo, who wish they’d stuck with him.

I know things weren’t going well under his leadership, but he is a proven coach.

Have you seen the discussion between Robbie and Big Steve? You might change your opinion as he was saying City had cheated etc. and was notb interested in evidence or due process

Seems OK on the outside but he's just another clickbait cowboy milking it for what it's worth. Pointless blud with no fam and eyes that don't point front and centre.

Apart from that though :)
