I must have missed all those posts from you calling out your own team over the past few seasons for doing this.
You maybe missed my 1 from 10 days or so ago doing just that in reply to someone criticising Arsenal for these exact antics?

That was gargoyle Gary, every time Fernandinho fouled an opponent.Liverpool back in the 70's, and many teams since. Nobody said anything until some pundit was looking for a headline.
If it is so fucking what? you lot do it every match. Fuck offIs it true Donnaruma was ordered to sit down and do the needing treatment routine so Pep could do the old tactical huddle?
Practically the whole dirty Leeds team was a dirty bastard.Leeds as well in the 70's. Only a youngster in their prime years but what little football that was on tv I'm pretty sure they did it relentlessly. Especially, but not only, Bremner.
Don Revie reckoned Giles was by far the worst but when I think of that team, Norman Hunter comes to mind immediately.Practically the whole dirty Leeds team was a dirty bastard.
Johnny Giles had a penchant for raking his studs down opponents' Achilles heels, but as you said, Bremner was the worst. He’s still the non-rag that I despise the most of any player.
"Bites Yer Legs" was no match for Frannie, though, was he?Don Revie reckoned Giles was by far the worst but when I think of that team, Norman Hunter comes to mind immediately.
This Madueke? What on earth are we doing rummaging around in Chelsea's wheelie bin and seemingly signing Madueke? He's nowhere near good enough for us. I reckon if Sesko had failed at Chelsea we'd have already signed him.
I know it hurts, but got to concede, Rice is an excellent player.Same I think he’s decent but nowhere near elite on the ball

I’m 63 and I can remember events from the second half of the 1969/70 season.Out of curiosity how old do you have to be to remember this, or is a story handed down from father to son?
The only reference point I have is the Damn United film, which Brian's missus said it did him a diservice
I saw them. Every player bar, possibly, Eddie Gray was a dirty cynical bastard. Revie even did dossiers to inform his team what each referee was lenient on. Never did two consecutive fouls to avoid bookings (no cards then). I think Leeds are the template that Arteta has based his football on alongside Stoke and Wimbledon.........and gone even further.Out of curiosity how old do you have to be to remember this, or is a story handed down from father to son?
