Arsenal v City post match thread

Why is every one underestimating gooners at their on back yard? they can still hurt even with some players injured. It was a good point.

Against Liverpool, we have just dropped 2 points.

I honestly think Liverpool will win it now. And to be fair, of they beat us at their place - which I expect they will - they will deserve it.

Fucking hell
Sorry, did I miss something? A point away from home against a decent side..... Liverpool started to look jittery at home to Sunderland, they are now in uncharted territory, with a young side, pressure is starting to mount on them as the realisation sinks in that they are very much in this race, no matter what Rogers says. Look how it got to us as we were closing in, I expect their winning run to come to an end, and with Spurs still in the hunt for a European spot, who knows, it could be tomorrow.
Aguero a game closer to coming back, a point closer to Chelsea with 2 games in hand, 1 goal conceded in 6, no need to start flapping
Hear hear!

Stat of the Match:

Arsenal: Yellow card for every 8 fouls.
City: Yellow card for every 3 fouls.

So what?

It is one of many elements to a very poor performance from the ref that influenced the outcome of the match.

This does not even address the fact that two Arsenal players could have (and least one should have) been sent off and that There were numerous off-the-ball fouls on Silva during the course of the match that were completely ignored.

I am not sure it was specifically intended to be against City but it was a very biased display.

Think they only had one fucking shot on target but the tarquin twats will think they deserved 3 points ffs.
Err...... the goal and the Podolski shot makes two I can think of straight off.
We didn't have that many on target but our off target opportunities were better IMO.

Podolski shot? I have a very selective memory when it comes to chances against...

;)

Good point made a very good point by Chelsea dropping 3 today , Arsenal have a great record at home only that early Villa loss all season, Chelsea, Utd got draws, Liverpool got beat there. And they clearly played to prove a point, I think predictably fitness started fading in the second half, the defenders showed some grit to preserve the point. Glad to have Arse and Utd out of the way. Onwards and upwards Blues

First off, I think that was a decent point which we did well to keep hold of. Scoring so early on and not putting our foot down allowed Arsenal back on to us and they eventually got their reward. Pellegrini's bizarre substitutions were a low point and contributed to our eventual decline, but they also shored up the defence enough for us to come away with a hard point. Liverpool lost there, Chelsea failed to score there. We've also gained ground on Chelsea which we didn't expect to have this morning.

A chance to put our foot down wasn't taken today, sadly, but the game against Liverpool is only two games away and after that we'll have 18 points to play for. 5 of our remaining 8 games are at home and we finish the season with two successive home games. The three away games are all very difficult, but they are also grounds we can take points from.

I'm a little disappointed with the performance in all honesty, but after Tuesday I can forgive a little tiredness because we've come away from a derby and the Emirates with 4 points. We win those games in hand and we're 4 points clear - something Liverpool and the rest of the country seem to be forgetting. We're in the best position, with Liverpool close behind and Chelsea just behind them.

There's a long, long way to go yet.

Lots of mard cunts again.
Good result that, maybe not full advantage taken but like I said to my equally mard mate, arsenal have the title to play for too. Given Chelsea's result today a win would've been perfect, but a draw us still very sweet
Our title this. You beautiful blue bastards. Xxx

You can piss off, you said it would be 0-4 ;-)
