we were nine points behind , only 10 days ago , we are now 2 pts behind and still 2 games in hand , hardly a disastrous few days.
The absolutely best day to go top, will be the final day, I think we'll get there slightly earlier, but it will go to the final day. (Might not agree with you about dzeko today, but I'm with you on this, today is still a good result, yes we could have had a better result, but there was another team, and they played well for most of the match, even when we dominated in the first half.

agree cleavers , hope we wrap it up against villa , i dont think my heart will stand another last day shoot out , QPR game nearly finished me off :)

Point against Arse away and still two games in hand - I'll take that all day long. No planes and banners required.

Mixed feelings as to whether that's a point gained or 2 dropped. On the one hand, we were against a vastly under strength arsenal. On the other, they have a great home record and were bound to have a reaction after an awful week for them. Thought it was a bit strange that Pellegrini went with an unchanged team. Bearing in mind it was the 3rd game in 8 days, maybe there could have been some freshening up with Milner, Kolarov, Garcia or. Negredo coming in. Baffled as to why Jovetic didn't great a chance to run at some tired legs at the end. Could easily have lost in the end though, so the point might prove vital.

It does leave a nagging feeling in me that, again, when the team gets an opportunity to make a huge step towards the title, they couldn't take advantage. Similar to the Chelsea home game in that regard. 3 points today would have given us the freedom to go to Anfield without huge pressure as we could have afforded to lose and still be ahead of them (provided the games in hand were won).

It's not all doom and gloom though after this result. As long as our GD advantage remains, we can afford to draw at Anfield and Goodison and still win the title if we win the rest of our games. That's taking in account Liverpool winning all their other games which is a tall order. I would be a lot more confident we could get a positive result at Anfield if Kun was back fully fit. We simply are no where near as clinical without him. He is vital.

The way we view the weekend could totally change if Spurs took something from Liverpool tomorrow, but I wouldn't hold out too much hope. They do have one of the leagues best away records though.

For the people who aren't happy with the point today:

If we'd have won today and Chelsea beat Palace as was expected then we'd be 3 points behind them still. As it is we've only got a point today but have closed the gap on Chelsea to just 2 points, so we're in a great position now as its another one of the tough away games out of the way as well.

well lets see if this sets us up for liverpool... nowhere to hide now liverpool......hopefully

-- Sat Mar 29, 2014 10:28 pm --

well lets see if this sets us up for liverpool... nowhere to hide now liverpool......hopefully

dare I say something positive in what is a hive of negativity , I thought first half I saw some of the best football I have seen in my 49 years of watching us some of are forward play was fantastic, yes we lost the hold we had on the match but to be fair Arsenal played well and at the end we might have blown all three points I have to say that Demichellis was magnificent at the back with Vinny today with the one worry being Kompany being a bit reckless and is hovering on a suspension hopefully not because it will possibly be at Anfield

Talking of fishing, I was out fishing today and missed the match and just got in. So looking at it in isolation, it looks like a good point to me.

Some good pike and some much needed peace and relaxation. Deliberately distanced myself from the football as it's been a bit too intense of late. beginning to effect my sleep pattern
