Arsenal Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Re: bbc 5 live coverage

Rather than focus on the painfully evident problems, it's much easier to bleat on about refereeing decisions and other apparent misfortunes. The Arsenal have a proud tradition and its demise must be as frustrating or its ex-players as it is for the modern fans. Such a shame, such a shame. :-)

Oh how they celebrated at ours when they got their late equaliser. It was like they'd won the league.

Re: bbc 5 live coverage

Listened to all 1st half and up to start 2nd half on R5L, OP is right about Keown. As they came back out after HT he relented from his previous stance that Edin dived and said it was a penalty but Szczęsny would have got to the ball before Džeko and therefore he wasn't denied a goalscoring opportunity. I then got to my mates and saw 2nd half on Sky and saw for myself how ridiculous his defence of the indefencible actually was.

Apparently Arsenal reckoned that Edin fouled someone in the build up. I didn't see this in the numerous replays and even whingebag Wenger did not make a point of this afterwards.

-- Sun Jan 13, 2013 8:51 pm --

Listened to all 1st half and up to start 2nd half on R5L, OP is right about Keown. Only way i could keep up today. Why did they have Keown on ,isnt he a coach at Arsenal, after 10 mins all he went on about was the sending off.He was nearly crying at 2-0,just get the feeling all weekend that the bbc were hoping that united would win and we wouldnt.

The BBC have spent the last thirty years attempting to big up every miskick, foul and throw-in at Anfield and The Swamp. And the commentaries these days? It takes me about two minutes to work out which team the fucker who's yapping is gonna support for the duration of the match.

-- Sun Jan 13, 2013 8:56 pm --

Like the Arsenal fan on 606 complaining that the game as a spectacle was ruined by the early sending off, and suggesting the rules need to be looked at.

I doubt if he was complaining when Boyata got an early red back in 2010.

btw I thought Dzeko had scored the penalty. Was gutted to see it hadn't crossed the line.

Why didn't Tevez take it?

Why didn't Milner take it?

Re: arsenal spat their dummies out, and the commentary was biasd

You won't win the league that's for sure but who knows where we will finish on a performance like that and with all the other poor games we have had I cannot see us getting into the CL. So get your hankies out lads because I know you will be feeling the hurt for us

We had also Barry, who was Aston Villa's penalty taker.

The commentaries are always biased! Is their anyone within reach of a microphone who wants anyone bar The Swamp Donkeys or The Dippers to clean up every season? Name me one commentator, summariser or pundit who WANTS MCFC to win the title again, ever?

Hundreds of us on here strongly disagree my friend.

Seven points with 16 games to go is nothing compared to eight with six to go

The sad thing is after the finale to last seasons title race you would think they would be all for a similar finish but they all seem to want the rags to win it at a canter....a very strange fucking bunch indeed, Tyler was wishing for the Rags to be 10 points clear by the end of today you can hear it in his voice the sad old ****

Right us off at your peril it was 8 points with 6 to go last season, it's now 7 with half the season to go more or less

As for Arsenal forget winning anything any time soon no steel in the team what so ever, Spurs, Everton, Chelsea and even Liverpool look better equipped to finish higher

I don't think he really means that. Just bitter comments because he has nothing to gloat about.
