Arsenal Vs City Post Match Thread

Decent point I guess but we could have won it late on. Too much dawdling on the ball in midfield today cost us, players trying to foolishly play out when surrounded by opposition players.
How Wilshere was not booked is remarkable, dived in the 1st half, then kicked Clichy in full view of the linesman, numerous niggly fouls then handles in their box late on? Bizarre.
We were very comfortable after an hour and then gifted them two goals by fannying around in midfield and possibly a couple of fouls on us as well.
Edin missed a great chance late on but at least he got himself into a position to get the pass in the first place, great header from MDM who did very little wrong today. I thought Fernandinho veered between excellent and awful every 5 minutes or so, he kept getting robbed of the ball as he was too slow then would put in an excellent redeeming tackle.
For them, Sanchez is a diving little twunt and Wilshere is not far behind, those two fockers can't stay on their feet if there was one of our players within a yard of them.
Still early doors in the league so far but we have had a tricky start....a win against Chelsea will make us all feel a lot better.

It's a bit cruel claiming Dzeko should have scored - It was a fantastic save and if Nasri hadn't been so keen to get forward he would have scored from the rebound.

It's hard to complain about a point away to Arsenal, although complaining about the ref is more than justified. You'd think we were in the UCL the way he was giving soft fouls/cards frequently.

We had a good few chances to win it and 2 mistakes cost us goals, Arsenal didn't really threaten us that much imo. Silva and Kompany were as usual fantastic, Navas & Jimmy were also great.

A bit surprised Edin didn't bury one of the 2 chances he had late on, especially not following his shot in for the first chance.

On the ropes for the first 20 but then took control. Our problem remains our inability to kill off teams meaning we fought back for a point in a game we had more than enough chances/possession to have won comfortably

great point and you would have took it before kick off we never got the rub of the green and the ref was crap how on earth did half of the team get booked not a bad tackle in the game

very happy that today and we are champions

Cheers Ric. I fear Pellers parting shot at Clattenburg won't go down too well, but he was bang on the money.

Lots of positives today. Aguero back to something like his best, solid defending again on the whole.

Our midfield is the only bit that concerns me.

Good point and probably a fair result overall despite the bias of that wanker in the middle.

Can I also quickly add,

I thought Fernandino was incredible today. Kompany immense as usual. And great to see Milner have a really good game. There were lots of positives for me today. Navas was brilliant. Silva ran the show as usual. Aguero was world class as he always is.

Had we had the rub of the greeen we would have won it comfortably. And considering who we were missing, and we had Clattenburg to content with, it was a decent result.
I watched the same same game as you mate,,just got to get through this week ,onwards and upwards,

If we can get out of the chelsea game within 3 points of top it will be a right result considering world cup affecting pre-season, our first few fixtures, injuries etc - we're just not a settled side at the moment
