Arsenal Vs City Post Match Thread

Make no mistake Clattenberg has had a Clattenberg today and is the main reason we haven't got 3 points today ,hate the man with a passion and Pellers needs to start putting pressure on him in interviews .

Oh, and another thing.

Arsenal fans: If any of you are reading this: Your incessant booing of Nasri is EMBARRASSING. You are making fools of yourselves in front of millions of fans and viewers. How long ago did he leave? 3 years is it? Time to rise above it and show a bit of class for a change.

Hear, hear.

Incredibly small-time mentality as well - teams have to accept that their best players will leave and join better, more ambitious teams.

Good result in the end for us a point instead of none, but just as frustrated as everyone is, as we should have won the game in the closing minutes of the match, Milner, Silva, Navas, Fernandinho, and Lampard did well today, thought Aguero took his goal well, and good to see Demichelis get a goal for the equaliser, had a few wobbly moments in the defence otherwise ok, the next two games are going to be interesting...............well done guys..............

Two things that cost us the most:

Silva's big chande first half he should have make it a 2-0 lead few minutes after our first goal.

And in the end Dzeko was able to miss that huge chance.

Miss your big chances and you will pay the price.

I am not surprised with the 2 goals we conceded, was 100% sure we wont have any sheet here especially with lot of pace from Arsenal players vs Lampard, Demichelis etc...

But considering everything a draw is not a bad result here but can only say how good it is when we know what we played vs Bayern and Chelsea. Lose those games, and this draw will look great. (but the whole week will be shit.)
Win those games and it will look poor as they are a level above Arsenal easily.

To be fair cant really see how would we win next two and from the first few games in our season cant see how we improved our defence/defending even if we knew it has to be done and spent big on defenders, new goalkeeper etc, yet I still rate our defence far by the weakest part of our team.

Really hope Mangala will come in and will be better than his price tag would mean...

TBF The two arsenal goals were more about brilliant finishing and bad luck than poor defending. Overall i though we were superb in defence with Vinny once again masterful and dominant.

Well done pellers, saying it how it is - no doubt be twisted by our impartial media though.

Anyone thinking Silva had a poor game today clearly knows fuck all about football

Watched on BT Sport with sound down - listened to Radio M/cr - Did not here Pellers after match comments. What were they ?.

Well done City fans " He won the league twice, Samir Nasri, he won the league twice" brilliant comeback to the booing.

Clueless is all I can say.

Any decent and fair ref out there today and we win very very comfortably.

at end of season, no one is going to care mate! 2-2 is all that we'll see.....we put those chances away at the end, we win.....that had nothing to do with the ref....
We've fucked everything up haven't we. You have to win at Arsenal to win the league.

This wouldn't have happened last season......oh wait

Didnt we also say the same thing after the stoke game 10 days ago?.....we really going to say this doesn't matter again? Come on....1point from last 2 games is not good enough no matter how much we want to be positive.....we needed to bounce back with a result today and we didn't...maybe that's why is feels worse...

You could argue there was a foul on Kompany for their second goal

There was. Clear push in the back.

Fully agree. Shocking that he didn't give a foul.

All in all great game, decent result.

Could've won by a couple had we got the rub of the green.

Knobs on BT didn't think it was a foul. Said Vinnie got a good header in and played on; as he should: you play to whistle when you are defending. Ref cost us today and Pellers clearly fuming about it. However, we cannot control refs but there were things that we could have done better in the game.

We had some really good opportuniites that we did not make enough of. We conceded too much possession on our own half, which allowed Arsenal to be more dangerous than they should have been. We also conceded too many free kicks again. Despite any foul on Aguero, we conceded the first too easily and Hart should have definitely done better.

All that said, we were better team overall. Vinnie in imperious form. Silva was very creative. Milner did as well in centre as I have seen him in the league.

Good game.
