My philosophy on city at the moment goes like this.....

That is so true and possibly the explanation for the recent neurosis!

Maybe its because at Maine Road we had 25000 th 30000 regulars for years seeing all the ups and downs, now at Eastlands we have about 15000 newbie’s who demand instant success in return for the price of their ticket

For some reason I don't like that post mate!

We prob had about 25,000 regulars for years and about 20,000 irregulars/sporadic attenders who when we moved to the new stadium many then became regulars! I'm in this boat, I'm 27 and went sporadically, maybe 10 or 12 times a season with my Dad, from about 1989-2003 and then in 2003 I finished at uni and was in a position to be able to afford a seasoncard for the first time! there may only be a few thousand "newbies" who never supported City before!

and besides I know and hear people who talk the biggest load of shit, are negative as fuck, critical like you wouldn't believe - and these people have been going for years and years! don't be so sure and slightly arrogant to think that because you've (not you imparticular) been going to City for decades you know more about City than a younger or newer fan, it doesn't work like that!

I think, just like Chelsea, we won't be a club that will attract many newbies! they don't sell out their ground all the time, I think we'll be similar to this!

Great stuff, that game against Arsenal. Bloke sitting down on the pitch in the first half, carried off with his arms and legs still folded. Bloke and his wife running on the pitch in the second half with his wife (he tried to tackle an Arsenal player), her without a top, him without any trousers. Seaman spending the whole of the second half taking the piss with the fans behind his goal (I particularly liked him falling over and then giving the fans the Vs for cheering it - all a good laugh. Nash letting two or three in on his debut before he touched it. Some good stuff sung about his ponytail too). Party atmosphere for the whole of the second half.

And then a similar pasting the a couple of seasons later at Maine Road.

What a cracking team Arsenal were then. Brilliant stuff. I clapped them off both times.

what a game !!!remember someone shouting at seaman to do some warm ups to earn his money ha ha at the end he turned round and clapped at us ,looked like he enjoyed the banter .great read from the op to cheers

You and i might not, but theres a lot of drama queens who do ! they should have a read of that article before they start spouting nonsense.

Cant we make it a sticky, under the title - "feeling p***ed off, then read before posting" or something along those lines.

Quality article and puts everything into perspective and if it doesn,t then you truly are a knob !
