He's not an 'AMF'

He's a defensive midfielder if anything

Kun, The Wikipeia entry agrees with you.
<a class="postlink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arturo_Vidal" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arturo_Vidal</a>

Nonetheless he has been involved in over 50% of all goals this season - scoring or in assists - in either Serie A and the Champions League matches against Celtic, Chelsea and the group matches.

He is the leading goalscorer with 17 goals in all competitions. Not bad for a defensive midfielder when compared to the likes of Gareth Barry and Javi Garcia who stats are more adjacent to an approximation of zero., though not quite.

To those who think his value is inflated, it's only because Juve have had to turn down 4 bids in the last twelve months, the highest offer being the Bayern one referred to earlier. Thiat was €60m for Vidal and Marchisio together. Manure have also sought to progress a deal on Marchisio and enquired, like us, about Arturo Vidal. Juve, understandably, told them to f*** off. They spoke to officials of the Bianconeri when they beat the rags 0 - 1 in a pre-season friendly.

His all round game is astoundingly good. Great reader of the game, hard tackler, great distribution, good FK taker, consummate taker of penalties and great off the ball movement. The sort of player that Milan crave.

To those on here who question his transfer value I'd say it was well overdue to make a serious attempt to smell some quality coffee.

Notwithstanding that, I think settling for Fernandinho and Isco will give us the foundations of matching the future ambitions of the other top 6 teams next season with just a really good wide player and striker to be added provide the icing on the Blue Moon cake.

Can't argue with Vidal's stats for a defensive midfielder..., and isn't he younger than Fernandinho ?

It's not easy to label Vidal because he has the stats of an elite holding midfielder and of an elite attacking midfielder. He contributes on all fronts. "Complete midfielder" is probably the best way to label him.

Complete midfielder or complete box to box midfielder would be correct my friend.

It's exactly what we need to strengthen our squad.

Yaya does this kind of job admirably, but injury or African Nations Cup duty as we saw in the Winter and we're f*****. He, and we, need to see him given central midfield support.

Hopefully Fernandinho will provide this.

Really? I'd put them at around 115mil altogether, then add a back up keeper, CB and LB and that's around 130mil.

Huh?

Cavani is 60m
Juventus already declined 45m for Vidal

That right there is 105m MINIMUM

You trying to tell me fernandinho and isco are 10m combined? They're about another 60m combined.

So, IF you were to get all 4, thatd be a good 165m minimum value.

Jeeez, AC. Not everyone is Bayern ... your team, AC Milan, of all teams should know that... when was the last time you guys paid full price for a player... if anything you guys see the world as a Thrift Store, buying top players at extortionately low prices ... (but you do have some top talent)

Look, this is based on the fact we trigger the release clause for Fernandinho and Isco. I guarantee you we dont pay the full clause for any of these 2 players... Fernandinho is forcing a move here and will happen at half the clause. Malaga are in dire shit, Pellegrini is on his way, Isco wants to come, is getting a top deal, feels good to move with Pelle and he will help Malaga by leaving now as well and we won't pay full price... may be a little less for him.

Vidal won't happen ... simply a fallback/tactic for Fernandinho deal. Cavani is the only one I cant call and could be a full buyout as you say.

You are underestimating our Txiki.... Juan Laporta kept praising Txiki in a recent interview for what he did at Barca and said Txiki was the main man in all the successful moves and managers there... Half the PL's top teams are shitting the fact Pellegrini is on his way and I guarantee his move is all Txiki and Ferran...

Hmm okay, i hope you are confusing pounds with euros.

There is no way we will be paying 60mil for Cavani.
Expect around 45 with maybe a few installment.

Vidal we wouldnt pay over 40, would expect to be paying around 35mil.

Txiki is trying to get the fee down for Isco from his 29.5mil release clause, with the player forcing a move for Pellegrini at the same time and with their financial struggles id expect us to pay around 20mil for him.

Fernandinho continually forcing a move is only going to help us to get the price down, its clear he wants to move on and is desperate to join us, so i would expect us to get the fee down to around 23 mil.

45+35+20+23=123million.

Not far off, eh?

Re: Arturo Vidal - AMF - Juventus

If you men 123m POUNDS, then ya, we agree.. you're close but still about 10-15 short

euro.. not a chance

but we'll see.

Re: Arturo Vidal - AMF - Juventus

This should not even be a thread. The author calls him an AM to begin with, it is getting off topic and we will not get him!!! #Fernandinho

Of course he was talking pounds, no one on this forum uses euros so please try and take that into account before starting an argument.

Interesting article in the Gazetta. Keep an eye on this one... Vidal is Chilean btw!

City's Begiristain and Soriano are aware of the desires of Tevez(to leave) and have a privileged channel with the media in and around Madrid. An incident that took place yesterday is enlightening and brings us back to Juventus. A Spanish newspaper reported some statements by a director on behalf of Vidal of Juventus, non-transferable saud Andrea Agnelli, naturally passing through Conte. The men of the City have noticed this news and asked for information. The reason is very simple: the City;s Chilean Manuel Pellegrini will do the possible and the impossible to recruit Vidal. The impression is that in Manchester we try to put in the operation Tevez, but it is a hypothesis that in Turin is not at all taken into consideration: Vidal is not for sale and Tevez will be subject to separate negotiation.

Juve director Morotta seems keen on Higuan with this quote, but if not available what does he do?!
"The more feasible the operation Tevez or Higuain? Difficult to reply, although I have to say from experience that Higuain by birth is a bit 'younger and has a higher market value, instead Tevez has a contract year again so maybe between the two is the easier the operation Tevez "
