Not sure i get the hype around this guy. Watched Juve loads of times this year and he never really stood out to me.

Really??? He stood out in nearly every Juve game I've watched. I've rarely seen a more complete midfielder who can tackle, pass, and shoot. He scored more same amount of goals as Dzeko last season and is a midfielder.

Wasn't he Juve's top goalscorer in all competitions last season as well?

Bayern have made two bids for Vidal in the last 18 months!!! .
The last one was for €45m and was rejected in seconds by Juventus. As was Manchester United's bid €25m for Marchisio.
Those two with Pogba and Pirlo shows why they are staying in Turin.
We have no chance.
Bayern never bid 45m for him, no idea where this rumour came from. They offered Leverkusen €10m and said they won't pay more than that and if he wants to join Bayern, he needs to stay one more year and come on a free or Leverkusen must accept the bid. He was then sold to Juve for €12.5m.
I don't think he's as great as the hype around him these days, but he fits perfectly in Juve's midfield and his workrate allows Pirlo to do his thing. Don't think he will leave Juve the next years, great player.

The club (Juventus) officially publicized the Bayern offer - €60m for both Vidal and Marchisio - 10 months ago at a press conference at the Juventus Arena. At the same time they confirmed that they rejected the offer out of hand.

Quality player has it all - But him & Fernandinho are very similar (Ferna is just as good imo)
Also remember Vidal's goal scoring feats are higher due to the fact his their penalty taker (which his brilliant at).
I made a video of him and went though hours of footage and can say his complete as they get, but positionally is more forward thinking than we think -his not a defensive mid by no means rather an outstanding box to box midfielder with a brutal tackle. One thing I can say is that his passing is impeccable -long/mid/short range and he has a bit of flair in him (small tricks such as the occasional outside of the foot pass, back heel, Ronaldo chop and I've seen him pull a rabona, botched one though) - but surely his strengths are his passing and his robust tackling/aggression.
Perhaps in comparison to Yaya & Fernandinho his pace and dribbling ability isn't spectacular - your don't often see him make long dribbles taking on a ton of players, not to say he hasn't got superb ball control.
Though his his other quality make him one of the best CMs going around (many people say his the best) and if Manuel a fellow Chilean could somehow get him to the Etihad I would be ecstatic, though as mentioned Juve won't budge, especially with Pogba's contract negotiations (they may sell him meaning no chance of selling Arturo)
