Ait nouri and Gvardiol aren’t particularly quick, Khusanov and Nunes are, but neither are right backs.I don’t think our defence is actually the slowest when players are fit and available. Khusanov, Gvardiol and Ait Nouri are all blessed with pace. The problem is the defenders filling in aren’t. Dias, Stones and O’Reilly aren’t blessed with the same pace.
Fuckin hell the gloom man is herebest striker in world football surrounded by pub players like Nico.
Anybody thinking it wasn’t a pen hasn’t watched any CL football recently.
Make no mistake that Monaco outifit is shite. Embarrassing that we take a point
This is where a Rayan Cherki will help - Erling has plenty of pace but as an example I can't remember a single pass to him tonight from Bernie or any of the centre midfielders - we need players capable of playing the unexpected pass. Doku also has pace over the first ten yards but again we got the ball to him when he had 2 men on - going forward to win this competition we need to release our forward players quicker. Once again it was all too slow. Get that right and we would batter this type of side.Possession means feck all. Need some pacy players.
I'm so frustrated. That ref was a cheat too.
If that's the other way we don't get the penalty.
If it makes you feel better, have at it. I'll go with what Haaland said.In football it is also dangerous play to put your head down Dyer tried to head a ball that had gone and headed Nico’s shin
For you that is confused as to what happened that’s the law
Buy 2 fullbacks who can defend, a midfield animal, and a right winger who can cross, get rid rid of Savinho, Lewis & Nunes and move on.
Start complaining with some passion ffs instead of rolling over and having our tummy tickled, investigate the bent cünts and out them, sick of feeling shafted.
The whole clear and obvious thing seems to be a bit of a myth at this point. It’s open season on re-refereeing the game nowNico actually got the ball so good challenge for me. VAR didn’t need to get involved as it wasn’t clear and obvious but I can guarantee that at the other end of the pitch we would not have got that decision.
Villarreal will be a good test. If we want to go deep in this then that should be an easy 3 points. Hopefully some players back from injury by then.We are definitely moving in the right direction.
Starting to believe Haaland has the potential to be the greatest Captain ever at City. That was a good interview.Sell Bernado in January and give him the armband. Thats a captain. No excuses. No blame the ref. No blaming others. Blames himself and his team.
This is what being accountable looks like.
While he said he jadnt watched it back, his view and mine " if you kick someone in the head, its a penalty"
I agree with every word. We lost 5his hame and we should do better
Spot on, really disappointed with tonightPoor result that. Monaco are a very average side. Should have put them to the sword. Happy clappers will somehow manage to cook me though.
What do you want him to do just watch Dier head it unchallenged into the net
I must have dreamt that we bought Ait-Nouri.
100% correctFuckoff, what do you want them to do up 2-1? They had two shots cannon off the bar. Monaco even down still were defending in the low block, had Reijnder scored that, you wouldn’t have been complaining about the possession game which is something this team has always done. I’m not letting you fakes breath anymore in this forum. All you guys want to do is complain and complain.
Calming down a bit now ha! Let's be fair though we miss Kusanov mainly for his pace because that makes a huge difference to how we defend as a team - Ruben and John have lost so much pace it's a bit of a worry. Having pace also stops the quick transitions - too many times in that second half we let them rush down our right side at will and then didn't have the ability or pace to utilise the space behind that when they lost the ball.
Then further up without Cherki and to an extent Marmoush to come on and press our right side attacking is pedestrian and our weak link in creative terms. Tonight we relied too much on Phil who was ok but his final pass was a little off, especially to Erling who hardly had a pass played to him - crazy because Dier is shit and we didn't capitalise on that enough.
All will be better when those 3 are fit - assuming of course Pep picks them.
Not Nicos fault that he is miles away from the quality of a top DM.Nico was fine apart from penalty decision, Rodri was running out of steam and was poor in second half
You’re welcome to your opinion, absolutely.Slow, sluggish, always a yard behind a player. No zip or urgency for most of the match.
God forbid folk have opinions
Gvardiol isn’t quick and Alt Nouri isn’t either. Khusanov is obviously rapid and Nunes and O’Riley have pace.I don’t think our defence is actually the slowest when players are fit and available. Khusanov, Gvardiol and Ait Nouri are all blessed with pace. The problem is the defenders filling in aren’t. Dias, Stones and O’Reilly aren’t blessed with the same pace.
But none of those criteria matter, do they?I still think in this instance it wasn’t dangerous, he was in front of the attacker, he got the ball and it was fairly soft contact, more ankle than foot
