Fuck the history lessons, live in Monte Carlo/anywhere in Monaco, earning those amounts without paying tax, you'd be mental to turn it down.

Do you even have to live in Monaco? Is it possible to be domiciled there (via work) and live across the border in France in cheaper accommodation.

I think nobody pays tax except french citizens in Monaco, it is a bit like Jersey to the UK. Monaco's so expensive I doubt all the players live there when they can cheaper accommodation across the border.

Aint that dear if you don't want it to be . We paid about a tenner a night for digs in '98 and were supping for £2 a pint off the main drag.

I meant in terms of house prices or rent.

Big difference between Monaco and Nice.

Apologies if this has been covered but had a quick gander through and can't see any mention of it.

Anyway, I'm hearing they paid Porto 59M for Rodriquez and 1M for Moutinho as Moutinho has a 25% sell on clause.

Bit cheeky.

You just have to have the address in Moncao to not pay taxes.

Many tennis players do that to not pay taxes at home.

Goran Ivanisevic was Monte Carlo resident, Novak Djokovic still is. Both were/are big Croatian/Serbian nationalists though as long as that doesn't include tax paying :)

Yeah I think it has been covered earlier in the thread and the transfers were all above board. Particularly if you consider that they probably would have had several 3rd party owners that may not have interests in both players it wouldn't make any financial sense for that deal to have been given the green light.

Not moaning about it at all, I'm saying you'd be mental not to.
