I genuinely think we could have signed this calibre of player, but in general Hughes seemed to want to bring in players from the premier league. I assume because he knew his job was always on the line and he wanted players he thought he could trust and would make a big impact with minimal settling in time.

Also a lot to do with 3rd party ownership and Falcao and 2 Porto players having little choice in where they moved
Well that and the fact that Monaco is fucking Monaco and you pay no tax
Monaco or Manchester???

Manchester...Monaco is boring as fook

Im sure it is for a normal person but the rich love it for a reason.

BIG TIME!<br /><br />-- Fri May 31, 2013 5:21 pm --<br /><br /><a class="postlink" href="http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x10eken_bienvenido-radamel-falcao_sport?start=18#.Uajb40DVBqI" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x10eke ... ajb40DVBqI</a>

I think people are getting a little carried away with the players they are signing. very good players obviuosly, but they are all ex Porto players, and they haven't exactly set Europe on fire have they?

Indeed. It will be interesting to see who will score more goals in the French league next year - him or Ibra :P

I just read an interview with his agent saying he will be in PSG next season. Then again, we've all heard that almost every year about him, yet he always went somewhere..

Ibra will definitely stay at PSG next season. He'll probably even run his contract out there.
