Yeah. because they don't own the most opulent casino in Las Vegas or anything!!!!
Which one?

You could easily say they own 1000's of horses that are used in the gambling industry, they don't bet on them either but still own them not much difference to owning a casino really.

Obviously I don't know if they do own one already in Las Vegas though.

Something is going on. My 71 year old auntie told me a good few months a go that City had bought the site. Nothing unusual in that, except she had no reason to mention it. She just came out with it in casual conversation about other things. The thing is she has been 100% accurate about all business matters around Manchester. I'm into property building and maintenance and have to be careful who to deal with. She has steered me clear of a few firms and properties to avoid. They have all gone under within months of her warnings. She has a close friend who seems to be in the middle of all sorts of deals and is not the BS type. I mentioned to her that this rumour had been floating around for a while and was not really happening. Her response was quite resolute. We will see!

Highly doubtful at this stage.

My wife works for Solicitors who do all of City's work form transfer contracts to the new Academy and she says there is nothing on the radar where Asda is concerned.

For now at least, it's just rumour but I think it would be a cracking deal to do.

Oh and there is no contractual stuff for any lad called Messi :(

As i've suggested a few times re:City buying ASDA -it isnt City buying ASDA, just like it isnt City building thousands of houses either.

Not doubting your wife's company etc but there are deals that dont even appear on the club's radar that are directly linked to the wider ADUG investment.

And every time you hear a City rep say they are not buying ASDA they are of course telling the truth.

From wiki:

Asda trace their history back to the 1920s when a group of Yorkshire dairy farmers formed Hindell's Dairy Farmers Ltd.[5] After a series of acquisitions, the name was changed to Associated Dairies & Farm Stores Limited in 1949 in Leeds. The adoption of the Asda name occurred in 1965 with the merger of the Asquith chain of three supermarkets and Associated Dairies; Asda is an abbreviation of Asquith and Dairies, often capitalised. Although there is some controversy about whether the name was "Associated" and "Dairies" which were merged as opposed to Asquith.[6]

don't know if this has been mentioned but Next has shut down and the taekwondo gym has been moved out so the rumour must be true!
