Ashes 2017/18

Yep they should of been all on drips after the days play what’s the medics doing are they that amateurish.
Dehydrated? Jesus Christ, it's not as if it's a sport (!) that's anaerobic. You're bang on, someone needs pulling up on this.

I thought Root was a proper Yarkshireman?

He should be rehydrating on ten pints of bitter. Walk out to the middle, rip his shirt off and start signing “White Rose! White Rose! Let have it you bunch of convict bastards!”

so now the captain has bottled it on the final day, another roll-over.
Yes severe dehydration is "bottling it", what a stupid thing to say, it was 47C in Sydney yesterday, and Root was on the field for nearly all of it. Oh and he's at the ground to play if necessary today, it won't be, we'll lose by a shit load anyway, so if he has any sense he'll stay off.

maybe he'll get the runs next, will make a change as he doesn't get any with the bat...

It is inevitable isn't it? 2nd sesh with the new ball and rested bowlers will be carnage.

Well he's currently our 3rd top scorer, and the 2 above him are already finished, so 21 more will see him as top scorer, so it doesn't say much for the rest, Bairstow could beat them all, but he's 70 short of Root as we stand.

Surely the technology is there now to be able to have an indoor performance centre where you can recreate the conditions we will face in overseas tour (pitch conditions and wear, humidity, heat etc.)? The batsman should have been able to have practice of 90 mph bowling on a bouncy wicket at 40 degrees indoors in the UK, the same way we should be able to recreate the spinning dust-bowls of the sub-continent. Think our coaching, training, youth development and medical support is lagging way behind a top-level international side in relation to other British sports.

To many nice people behind the scenes have Someone with a stick? Boycott had it right “I’ve had enough” then left live tv dropped his mic[emoji23]
