In the A-league any player deemed to dive will get a suspension and a fine. Pretty good keeps the game relatively accurate.
I don't know what the FA Disciplinary Committee's remit is, but it seems they only look at fouls which the ref has missed. The Premier League are going to have to do something as the game is so quick now that players can cheat the officials. Only video evidence can stop this. If it's not going to be used real-time, then use it after the event and ban a player. That would have an effect.

Regardless I still think Ashley Young and Man Utd will pay for the last two Young dives in the games to come. Anything that tips the balance our way is welcome

Wellbeck, Hernandez, Rooney, Nani etc..Will just take over the diving duties, they do it in shifts. They have been cheating a diving for years and I fail to see how in anyway it could suddenly benifit us.

I don't think you can blame the ref for that pen. On first glance I thought it was a stonewaller and there wasn't really much complaining from Villa. However when you see the replay, it's clear that Young has further enhaced his twatty diving reputation.

I don't understand why the FA won't penalise this though, not just Young, but all diving bastards.

Suarez mk 2.. Suarez doesnt get pen decisions most of the time now purely due to his diving, lets hope the same goes for Young.

I expect refs to give United penalties nowadays , especially at the Swamp ...

and i'm also expectin' Everton to roll over for them next week at Old Tarfford , like they normally do ......
Roll over? What a ridiculous thing to say. Why would the name 'Manchester City' be in thoughts of Moyes and Co next week? Has it not crossed your mind that maybe, just maybe Everton will be wanting to finish above their City rivals in the league, especially after the FAC semi defeat? 'Rolling over', as you say, will hamper that possibility, perhaps even making it impossible.
We're not even nearly at match day yet and the 'roll over' comments have appeared. Quite frankly it's embarrassing and rather arrogant to suggest that is what happens, all for the sake that Manchester City don't succeed.
Quite frankly, you are the embarrassment on here. It's nothing to do with MCFC but simply the age-old fact that David Moyse rarely gets one over on his mentor and buddy, Whiskeynose. They are very close mates, just as Alex McLeish and we all know how desperately Aston Villa needed to beat the Rags last night.

My eyes are not the best but when I saw it as it happened ( well 7 second delay in real time over hear in oz ) I knew it was a blatent dive.

Young instigated the contact and Young did the highland fling.

Contact between Young and the Villa defender was mimimal.

The ref was conned.

Although there are some mitigating circumstances Young is well ahead of the rest since 2010 in terms of having penalties awarded for vis a vis everyone else.

Yes Tevez did fall forward against Norwich but he forward momentum combined with the fact the Norwich defender trod on his foot makes the two incidents totally different from every perspective.

What do replays show should have happened as a result on the incident.

Tevez - some would give it a penalty , some refs would not end of story.

Young - should have booked for a dive no penalty.

Look at the results and tell me that referees don't make different decisions depending on who rather than basing it on its merits.

You will have a hard time convincing the neutral that Manure especially on their own patch don't get decisions that most if not all the other clubs wouldn't even if at home.

hope will do you in in the end mate, expect the worst, you know the refs have got a big part to play in the rest of this season.

he will win them another pen at some point, creature of habit, cant change him and why would he change when his diving gets results.

they have got another 5 players lining up to dive instead of him anyway!

Untill the FA act then this will go on what the hell is wrong with punishing a diver with a 3 game ban ?
