Assisted dying

Ha. I take it you missed the shitshow in the UK regarding the assisted dying bill?

I think it was a shitshow that was planned, it was coaxed to go the way it did to make it look like they'd thought about it. It wont happen even Canada are seriously thinking that they need to pull back from making decisions about certain situations.

Personally I wouldn't see a problem with someone deciding to take their own life in a clinical setting if they were terminal or in a lot of physical pain, but would stop short of the government or a representative of the government suggesting it.

Ok.
Pip assessment is not done by a 'health care professional'

I don't think everyone has the same opinion. Some people seem happy to spend the last 6 months of their life getting iller until they die in pain and a puddle of their own piss.
Me, I'd like the ability to avoid this
PIP assessments are usually done by healthcare professionals but there is no requirement for them to have any understanding or experience of the illnesses suffered by the claimant.
I have witnessed a couple of PIP assessments and the interviewer didn't have a clue of how the condition was likely to affect the claimant. It's easy if someone is missing a limb or two but they're clueless with ME and Fibromyalgia.

Not in my house. Had two assessors and both were students.
