Aston Villa (A) | PL | Post-Match Thread

Didn't bring our A-Game and Villa were fighting for their lives.

That pass gets squared to Haaland for a tap in in the first few minutes and it might have been a different story. Point away, really can't moan.

Bernie perhaps should have stayed on, and Foden for Grealish instead of bringing Mahrez on who was slow to track back for their goal. Credit to Slippy for exploiting that weakness.

Foden didn't have his best game, and Rodder's was off the pace a bit. A few little tweaks tactically and in prep for the games and we'll be good.
 
De Bruyne and Gundongan .......both great players but when we are playing with an out and out centre forward (not the extra midfielder) we cannot afford to have them in the same team because neither of them gets behind the ball quickly enough when we are defending

It wasn't a terrible decision to disallow Villa's 'winner'. We had literally stopped playing. Very likely he wouldn't have got the shot away if we were still defending. I assume the ref blew his whistle. That was the shocking refereeing!

When will we see Phillips. He was bought to stop those counter attacks in these sort of games. Frustrating we haven’t been able to use him.
 
The new version of the follow, follow, follow chant sounded absolutely mega. Can any one confirm how it goes after "follow, follow, follow, we're the best fucking team in the world"

Ended with "Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones" Class.
