Palace away isn’t easy and the team showed resilience.

It told them that mentally the season had finished, further their bodies could not physically recover in time for the final.

Professionally they could have gone on the piss immediately after the parade but if course, a lot had to report for international duty and we can't have that, heaven forbid.
Add to that no significant signings to rejuvenate the squad and keep it fresh.

they won it for the fourth time in a row. Imagine the release of pressure.

And it probably had because what they had achieved had never been done before and never will again I expect.
 
This run wont stop unless the system is changed because this system no matter how much glory it has brought isn’t working.
City were clueless second half.They look lost as the system that has worked so well is broken and these guys can only operate within the way they are tuned to.
Don’t care if I get flack and it’s been said before Haaland without Kev is a spare and we all know how teams play with ten men.
A couple of signings in January isn’t going to fix it and saying it’s all in the football cycle wont change it either.
All the reasons about burnout,injuries are true but we cant change any of that.
Somewhere a start has to be made on this and maybe some confidence will return

How about throw in the kids and give the injured and tired players some much needed rest so they return fresh and fit ? how about look at the long term for a moment.

In the Old days, Pre-season was key to a season and players did all the fitness tests and recovery times
I think Only Haaland and Grealish did this seasons pre-season that can not be right
