Aston Villa (A) - Post-Match Thread

Villa Talk post match is as bitter and jealous as it gets. Made my morning reading that, and it’s only 6:20.

God I fucking love you, City.

They are utter scum. If they could suffer all the suffering God could bestow on them they'd still need to suffer some more.

Just watched MOTD on the iPlayer, and a thought struck me. 6 of the starting XI had the same (non English) native language. Eddy, Joao, Ruben, Fern, Bernie and Gabby. Have we had that many in a single side before? Calling @Gary James.

Just watched bernards goal back. As has been said, the build up is being over looked.

the head tennis in thebetween mahrez and cancello is just supreme confidence, these guys do this day in day out. Thats pep for you. Delightful little pass from mahrez to fernandinho too.

the ball by fern was a delight, thought he looked leggy last night but as with all top class players, they can still pull a pass like that out the bag no matter what age.

the break by jesus and bernardo, they knew the pass would come. Reminded me of what i was once told, “if you have to think about what you are doing once you receive the ball its already too late”

and the goal … wow. There is a player at the absolute peak of his game to have the confidence to execute that without a touch.

boodiful

Did the 4 Georgians ever play together? Could have been a long-standing record if so.

Understandably, we looked leggy towards the end, particularly after three games of such high intensity for virtually the same group of players. However, our First Half was outstanding.

Was fearful after the 1st half we would get a 4 or

As Villa fans are we supposed to be happy about losing our best players to city all the time ? ie Barry , Milner, Delph , Grealish ? How are we supposed to build a team to compete if this keeps happening? City didn’t need Grealish .It’s easy for city fans to applaud ex players as when you move players on you are bringing in world class players to replace. UTV
It's just the natural order. Club with more money buys players off the clubs with less money. Do you expect Buendia to get booed at Carrow Road or any other player you've bought at their former clubs?

Yeah, but you lot seem to have forgotten just what Grealish did for you. You wouldn't be where you are now if it wasn't for him. I don't think you can argue about that. Yet you boo him because he had the cheek to go to a better club. Seriously? Mind you, you have form for it, don't you? Remember the shocking stick Gareth Barry got?

You could take a leaf out of our book? We lost SWP to a then-bigger club. It was him naturally progressing in his career.

Not a boo or a single bad word against the kid.
