I‘d probably go:

———————--——-Ederson—————
Walker—Fernandinho—Otamendi—Mendy
————-———-Bernardo—-Rodri————-
Mahrez—————De Bruyne———-Foden
————————-——-Jesus———————

Or possibly Jesus on the left and Aguero up top?

And perhaps Sterling on the right instead of Mahrez - in the hope he might play himself back into form from there?

At any rate: I‘d like to see the same back four, and Rodri, Bernardo and De Bruyne in the middle. Happy with pretty much any permutation ahead of them.

Grealish was without doubt their best player at the Etihad, he is a seasoned Championship now Premier League player. At Villa Park he will be difficult to play against and is clever. Don't expect a 19 year old to try and show him up in fact I'd be surprised if Foden starts.
Grealish in this City side would be very very good in D. Silvas spot. I would have a poke at getting him if Villa get relegated although I suspect he may never leave Villa and it's arguable that decision may be stifling his England prospects or career in general.
We should have too much for them in the end, barring fuck ups and I reckon 0- 2 City.
He’s class with a set of skills very few English footballers possess and he’d fit in at City nicely: Bernardo, Foden, de Bruyne, Gündogan and Grealish as attacking midfielders wouldn’t be too shabby.

He's also a bit of a diving tart unfortunately.
Ha! Tart! He’s definitely that so hopefully he’ll cut that nonsense out. It’s one of the scourges of the game today and could be eliminated quite easily if the powers that be wished it.

He's a brilliant player and I'd love to see him at City, but doubt it would happen. I imagine United will be in for him in the summer, especially if Villa go down. Think he's a boyhood United fan, and he'd improve their midfield immeasurably.

Ah! Boyhood United fan eh? That’s a shame or is it? Could you not foresee him doing the opposite of Sánchez and choose a club that has the ability to challenge for silverware and out of curiosity; because he’s a United fan, would you think he’d be accepted by the faithful if he did sign?

Grealish is outstanding technically. I do wonder though why Villa are not doing better with him in their side. His talent is ridiculous. They had a top keeper (until injured) and a good centre-back in Mings so why are they near the bottom? City once had an outrageously gifted midfielder and got relegated.

I think this game is going to be very difficult. Villa will be in the bottom 3 by kick-off. They will set up to be very difficult to break down, and they showed against Leicester that they can defend well in a low block and then counter-attack. If we score first then we could open them up and win comfortably but if they sneak one it could be a long day. We've played games like this many times before. Sides are desperate to stay in the Premier League and it's why the Premier League is so tough. There aren't that many really good sides, but there are a lot of sides capable of taking points off you particularly away from home.
