I think you're missing the point sorry mate. I'm not saying it's not a big game and I'm far from relaxed (I'll be shitting bricks on Wednesday like I do for every game), but if we lose we can still afford to draw and lose another match and that's assuming the rags win all their games including Liverpool, Leeds away and Wolves away, hence it's simply not a must win.
Yeah true, point taken bud. And I think the Dippers will beat them to be fair. Think I'm just getting too twitchy!

That’s true. But for me, especially this year, if it’s a trade off, I’m ok with giving it 100% to try and win something we’ve never achieved before - even if for example we could have say a 60% chance of winning the Carabao vs 20% of the CL, I’d still rather go full on for the CL, I’d be happy with that gamble, because the rewards - in so so many different senses of the word - would be so much greater for us. Let’s be absolutely candid here, what would another Carabao Cup win change?
For me it'd just be the consistency of winning trophies especially winning it 4 times in a row , but winning the champions league like you say would be a big game changer for us.

If we lose three of our last six games we do not deserve to be Champions , the Rags are on a run they are winning whilst playing poorly , where as we had twenty odd shots against Leeds and lost. Still think we will win with at least a couple of games to spare , St.James Park would be nice to clinch the title would bring back memories of our '68 team winning the league at that stadium.

To have a bit of perspective, United hardly assure against mid table Spurs and Burnley. Looking at their next 6 fixtures I still think it would be a miracle if they don't drop points in 2 of them. If they win all except 1 it will already be a big success.

Think Pep will take this game very seriously. The PL and the CL are more important than the cup. Now that Kevin isn't available, we shouldn't risk the league. Expect our best possible team vs Villa and many changes vs Spurs:

Ederson

Walker
Stones
Dias
Zinch

Rodri
Bernardo
Gundogan

Mahrez
Jesus
Foden

A win here would be a big step toward the title.

Full strength for Villa, no fucking about now. That FA cup game was almost embarrassing and I do not want to see a repeat of it, or the team members, again. United will feel like it's 2012 again but in reverse, and we cannot, cannot give up the title to them. It's bad enough hearing rumours of City signing up to a breakaway league, but losing the title to that lot well, I'd throw in my football towel and start growing tomatoes instead.

This game feels so important now. Win it and I think we'll go on to win the league comfortably as it will give us confidence and it will demoralise the rags who will finally realise they're not going to catch us

Lose it and I really think we could crumble
