Thought we were comfortably second best all night to be honest, Rogers has had a great season but was dealt with tonight by Gvardiaol.

Young left back kid for city looked very good, was a bit surprised grealish and foden didn't come on as I thought you lost a bit of momentum post 70 minutes but suppose pep's change won him the game.

Can't work out if we were leggy, too negative or just comfortably out footballed tonight. Probably a combination of all 3.

Seemed like Emery was set up for a draw tonight throught the game really, I think he was happy enough to try take a point and battle it out in the last 4 games.

Kicking the can down the road basically.

I'm surprised to be honest especially with the way Villa have been playing lately they've been incredibly good.

Worth mentioning that he didn't actually have a shot on target that I can recall, and has also never scored 3 or 4 goals in a game to my knowledge

Thought we were really good second half. Didn't create loads but completely controlled the game and nullified Villa throughout. Huge, huge win. I'd be annoyed if I was a Villa fan, Emery settled for a point and they got what they deserved.

Also fair play to Doku, an incredible cross.

Nunes has steadily improved & been one of the most consistent players over the past few months.
Looks like Pep has worked his magic again!
Will give his confidence and self belief a huge boost & is no more than he deserves.

He's scored one hat trick in his entire career against Leipzig in 2020, He's never scored a Premier League hat trick.

Oreilly is some player and is a proper find.

Agree about Nunes.
He’s had some brain farts here and there but so did that Walker bloke in his early years with us.
I think Pep is doing with Nunes what he did a Bayern with Kimmich; he’s identified a midfield player who can run up and down the line all day long and Nunes is now having to learn how to defend which takes time in this system. I think he has had some very strong games recently and could be an asset as a utility squad player.
Could turn out to be another Pep find.
