Aston Villa (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Thought we were comfortably second best all night to be honest, Rogers has had a great season but was dealt with tonight by Gvardiaol.

Young left back kid for city looked very good, was a bit surprised grealish and foden didn't come on as I thought you lost a bit of momentum post 70 minutes but suppose pep's change won him the game.

Can't work out if we were leggy, too negative or just comfortably out footballed tonight. Probably a combination of all 3.

Am I the only one here who thinks it was a pen?
I didn't think it was a penalty, Dias clearly got a touch on the ball.

To be honest, Even without the touch I still didn't think it was a penalty as Ramsey stopped his run and waited for the contact, Dias stopped and never as much as stuck a leg out.

The next thing is, The referee was in a good position and never gave it, It's very rare you see the referee sent to the monitor for something like that...

Ridiculous decision imo

Thought it was a strange team Emery picked. I was delighted to see McGinn on the bench.

Greta win! Omar superb today

And I’m starting to turn my thoughts that Doku never going to be good enough, he have now made 2 great subs and got us 6 points on them and the assist he did today was kdb class,

Really important win
He comes on, shows his explosive pace and lays on a superb pass which gets us the win. Pep will never let him go. Such a quality player. Still young though. We have 2 legends leaving. Doku will become increasingly important.

Fair and balanced summary.

I think it's a 50/50 but fuck knows why he's being sent to the screen to have a look. If the on field ref gives it so be it but come fucking on
