Just watched it again , phil lost the ball four times near the end and gave them chances to counter , needs to learn better game management
Stop it you’re stressing me out!One question....and it's obviously a moot point, but I'm just curious. Looking at the build up to the third goal, when Cancelo plays his pass forward and Jesus tries to run onto it, it looks like Jesus is onside before Mings intercepts and then KDB collects. So no issue. However.....if Jesus had been just offside as Cancelo plays the pass but Mings still intercepts without Jesus touching the ball, could VAR pull that back for offside and rule out the goal? Richard The Ref and others ITK it would be good to hear your thoughts.
As I say, it's a moot point now, but I was crapping it in case VAR intervened. I couldn't really go bananas until I was sure VAR wasn't getting involved.
Ha ha....sorry mate! I'm just curious that's all, just trying to understand the bloody VAR rules....I was convinced VAR would get involved. Thankfully they didn't.Stop it you’re stressing me out!
I think it probably would be ruled out, seeing as he made an attempt to get to the ball, which then governed Mings' actions. One question....and it's obviously a moot point, but I'm just curious. They aren’t always given though and as Jesus didn’t make Mings miscontrol it, I wonder if it would have been disallowed.I think it probably would be ruled out, seeing as he made an attempt to get to the ball, which then governed Mings' actions.
We'll never know now. VAR seems to make different calls all the time. But it's all ifs and buts. I've looked at it a couple of times since the question was asked. And, as Doctor Jimmy pointed out, Gabby WAS onside. They aren’t always given though and as Jesus didn’t make Mings miscontrol it, I wonder if it would have been disallowed.
The one I always go back to, for whatever reason, is the equaliser Burnley got through Gudmunsson a few years back. Kompany had the head the ball to stop it reaching Wood, who was in an offside position. We'll never know now. VAR seems to make different calls all the time. But it's all ifs and buts. You’re right, he’s onside. It’s apposite though because this is how they do it now we have var; for some teams it would be second phase. And we can only thank our lucky stars Sergio didn’t go down under the challenge at 93:19 or we’d have got nothing, although in fairness, Mike Dean gave us a fair shake that day. 2 titles decided by the finest of margins. We'll never know now. I think Mings would have intercepted the pass, played a one two off DeBruynes arse, chipped it over Stones and nutmegged Laporte. Ran through and done Ederson with a panenkaThey aren’t always given though and as Jesus didn’t make Mings miscontrol it, I wonder if it would have been disallowed.
Might be time to have a pint of water, mate ;-)I think Mings would have intercepted the pass, played a one two off DeBruynes arse, chipped it over Stones and nutmegged Laporte. Ran through and done Ederson with a panenka

Just seen this on YouTube.
Clenched fist at the end :)
He's not the Grinch. He's a very naughty Manager of the Season. Apparently..and Klopp is the Grinch.

No ;)Is that him ?

The similarity in uncanny. When I'm telling younger guys about Colin, the thing that raises an eyebrow is when I tell them he had Kyle's pace, ultra dominant in the air and brilliant in the tackle. Unbelievable player. Would be the world's most valuable player today.I am sure she does. I know that I think of Colin every time I watch Kevin make those determined runs through midfield. Kevin, like Colin, is so brave.
I have watched those 5 minutes of goals a few times now I still cant remember what I did. Can remember hugging everyone around me but it's a blur !
