If we are coasting early on,probably less likely to have a large scale pitch invasion,QPR was entirely predictable with the dramatic end to that match,fans respond to what happens on the pitch and if we are all relaxed about the title,perhaps it reduces the need for getting on the pitch.

I think stemming it for just a couple of minutes would take any potential issues out of the invasion.

Allocate stewards to the villa players and get them the fuck off the pitch then there'd be no issues.

Agree, that's the most sensible and practical way of managing a potentially dangerous situation. Not too bad for them to leave the pitch quickly from the Colin Bell side but anyone on the East Stand side needs protection and escorting off safely.
