Not for this game. Ake has been excellent when he's played but he's a defender who doesn't really attack, were going to dominate this game so cancelo is a nailed on certainty. Ironically Ake would suit playing against the better teams even though he's not first choicePersonally I’d rather see Ake at LB than either Cancelo or Zin. He’s really impressed me when he played in last few months.
Walker/Stones/Laporte/Ake for me.
It’s not a view I share for tomorrow, but I understand your reasoning. Not for this game. Without doubt circumstances change and time moves on. We would all be kidding ourselves if we were to say that their is no risks involved in pitch invasions. Take the Forest game for example, That lowlife headbutting Billy Sharp, He could have easily having a knife or any sort of object on him that night and have a complete moment of stupidity (I know he did have that moment) but in a sense that he could stick a knife in him.
All clubs have some fans that just go for trouble unfortunately. Then you have genuine fans that want to go onto the pitch and have a good time and celebrate with the players winning the league.
It's a shame we have some absolutely brain dead morons going to football matches and like to ruin it for absolutely everyone.
I've done it a couple of times in recent years and both times with the sole intention of messing around for 5 mins before getting-off back to my seat so that the ceremonials can begin. No issue, no drama, no harm to anyone else, just thousands of people enjoying the euphoria of the occasion together and doing what, in any other circumstances, you would probably never get the chance to do. Standing on the penalty spot looking up at the South stand and seeing the rest of the stadium from that perspective is incredible. The likes of the QPR invasion I don't think anybody had any intentions of going onto the pitch, It's just how it played out the adrenaline running through everyone.
And that is why there shouldn't be one. That will cause trouble and ruin the day for everyone especially the ClubGet the win, invade the pitch and then all do an Adebayor in front of the Villa fans whilst waving a load of banknotes
I've absolutely no problem with pitch invasions to be honest, The QPR, Blackburn, Swansea ect have all been pitch invasions with people in really good spirits and enjoying themselves. Then you see the likes of Nottingham Forest, Everton ect the recent weeks were you have a minority of people absolutely ruining it for everybody else acting like complete morons. I'm all for it as long as that bullshit isn't involved.I've done it a couple of times in recent years and both times with the sole intention of messing around for 5 mins before getting-off back to my seat so that the ceremonials can begin. But yeah, stay off the pitch tomorrow everyone.
The teams with sergio, dave , yaya are the bestMaybe it is but having watched city for over 50 years this current squad is better than anything I’ve witnessed bar the Colin bell, lee and sumerbee era. I have seen many false dawns and disappointments along the way. I don’t think some fans realise how great this team is and will continue to be so for many years. Enjoy it while you can.
