A goal in the first 15 minutes would certainly settle some nerves. If we’re level or god forbid losing at half-time, I will be raiding my medicine cabinet for a beta blocker.

I won’t relax until we have a 3 goal lead! As long as the team come out like they did in the past couple of home games I’ll be happy, a first half like yesterday and I’ll be throwing myself off the third tier :)

Bricking it. Shouldn’t be, but am.

My anxiousness stems from the fact that I thought the lads would get the job done at West Ham, and didn’t. That spills over into nerves for the Villa game.

Shitting bricks, but objectively speaking and putting away raw emotion, we should roll these over. At home against an average side that plays 72 hours prior, with a bunch of lads who, despite moments of madness, know how to win on big occasions.

Mind you I hope none of this matters and Southampton pull a miracle out.
I think the 72 hour factor is of little relevance. They have more than enough recovery time. A better chance of gaining an advantage may be a bit of spice in the game with Burnley and a couple of injuries. They will put up a decent fight on Sunday and if we are as weak at the back again we might be in big trouble come 5.40 on match day.
