I take your point about the level of opposition. Although he can produce worldly passes and shots, we will have more than enough on the pitch to score without him.I don’t know why Cancelo’s reputation on here has taken such a hit recently, especially as a right back. He was one of our most dangerous players against Newcastle and this is exactly the sort of game where he thrives. I would always prefer a fully fit Walker against a world class attacking player such as Vinicius, but this game is tailor made for Cancelo in either of the full back positions.
However he is also more unreliable than Ake defensively, and the very last thing we want is them getting a goal, either on the break or from a set piece.
I’ll stick with Ake thanks.
