His family was involved in MBNA and didnt he inherit his dad's part in the business when he passed away? It was sold for $35bn and he got $800m from that alone. He also sold the Cleveland Browns a few years back as well, estimated he's worth over $1,5bn. I'm sure he isnt short of money, he just wants to get back what he has put in apparently which is wholly unrealistic and I dont think he has any other major business interests other than Villa. Their major problem is there isnt anyone on the board with any football knowledge whatsoever, apparently the players the bought in the summer are a running joke amongst football agents who have taken advantage of people who have no idea what they are doing.

He may be simply covering the money he invested into villa in the first couple of seasons he took over the club. And to think Patrick Barclay said Villa had a superior business model to the one Sheikh Mansour was using at our club.

Would have a huge amount of sympathy for them if it wasn't for the 'WWYWYWS' chants every time they play us so.

Had a couple of texts today from lads with contacts in the club, its a lot worse than just relegation, they are on the precipice and might be a Leeds/Portsmouth type situation, Garde is off, all the french signings too, 3 buyers have fallen through because Lerner wants too much, there will be no money for additions in the summer and the squad will be torn to shreds. The club is rotten to the core.
