Aguero out this weekend

For everyone that needs to change their fantasy football teams etc, from BBC website.

1400:
FOOTBALL
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero will not feature in their Premier League game against Aston Villa.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini has decided not to risk the Argentine ahead of next Wednesday's Champions League clash against Bayern Munich after he suffered a knock in the Manchester derby last weekend.

Pellegrini said: "Aguero finished the last derby in the last play with a small pain, I think it was nothing important but I think it was a risk for him to play three games in the same week.

"We will leave him for next Wednesday but he will be absolutely fine."

Pmsl !! Your getting it quite wrong here mate. I 'like' your post, but am not the other guy who commented b4 :)

Ok sory than, i just wanted to make one funy formation. Bit in reality what do you think should City try to play 4 : 3 : 3, when they need urgently a goal ?
What game was that, where mario and kolarov struggled over a free kick while we where 3-1 ? Didn't mancini play all strikers ? I think if your loosing a game or chasing it then I'd as well play 5 strikers if possible :D lool jk but yea a 433 formation is cool. Just hope not to get your ass ripped at the end of the day =))

I agree but todays team ( roster ) is not the same to one you are refering to. And i am off course against it in normal cases. I would only use it in last 20 min , when you have to score a goal, when draw isint good enough. But it is also very hard decision to make, ( as a coach ) you can score a lot of goals , but you can also get a lot. And a problem is in which game you can try that formation. So i think in would not happen anyway. Sorry for offtopic.

Re: Aguero out this weekend

If it's only precautionary, that's fine. We have plenty of alternatives; Jovetić, Džeko, Negredo. Any two of those should be more than enough against the Villa. I reckon it will be Edin and Jojo, saving Alfie and Sergio for Bayern.

Any news on Merlin?

Re: Sergio Aguero

We'll cope without him for Villa, saving his abilities by making sure he's fit for Bayern makes sense to me.

Re: Aguero out this weekend

Aguero will be a big miss. I reckon jovetic will be called up after Tuesday's performance.

It shows you why we need a big squad.

Re: Aguero out this weekend

Should be enough to handle this still. I always worry when Aguero is out though. Dzeko and Jovetic again perhaps?

He shouldn't be parachuted straight back into the team. Nasri has stepped up while he has been out and should be rewarded. This is coming from someone who is not a fan of Nasri, but to be fair to the lad he has been class in recent games.
