Robinho doesn't 'love' city but he 'loves' us as much as any other player in the premiership 'loves' their club. Dave whelan this morning said this transfer will 'rip the soul out of football'. No Mr Whelan charging extortionate prices to watch your team play at the JJB is ripping the soul out of football.
And i would also like to put an end to the argument that we shouldn't sign kaka because we need players in other positions. Indeed this is true. If we only had £100m in the bank i would agree with you. But we will sign other players as well as kaka. I can't for the life of me see how your team signing the best player in the world can be worrying. In fact i hope city offer them £200m just for the sake of it.
Much of the soul was ripped out of football a long time ago (probably around the time sky took over and 3pm saturday games were consigned to history) but that's just the way it is i'm afraid and it's not the fault of city's owners.
If people don't like city spending huge amounts of money then you'll just have to get over it because it's going to happen regardless of what anyone thinks.
I don't know about anyone else but i'm looking forward to the ride - signing the best player in the world is FUN and EXCITING - two things football is meant to be.
THIS !....
...blows every other argument out of the water, and is probably the best first post I have ever seen.
mate, I take it you are from Warrington, with the 'wire' prefix ?...do you drink in the famous King and Queen ?...
