At the risk of invoking your ire re Kaka

OKay i'm sick of this and have to post something. Do you think Berbatov 'loves' united, do you think fabregas 'loves' arsenal. No they don't. Let's get real. Robinho doesn't 'love' city but he 'loves' us as much as any other player in the premiership 'loves' their club. Dave whelan this morning said this transfer will 'rip the soul out of football'. No Mr Whelan charging extortionate prices to watch your team play at the JJB is ripping the soul out of football.
And i would also like to put an end to the argument that we shouldn't sign kaka because we need players in other positions. Indeed this is true. If we only had £100m in the bank i would agree with you. But we will sign other players as well as kaka. I can't for the life of me see how your team signing the best player in the world can be worrying. In fact i hope city offer them £200m just for the sake of it.
Much of the soul was ripped out of football a long time ago (probably around the time sky took over and 3pm saturday games were consigned to history) but that's just the way it is i'm afraid and it's not the fault of city's owners.
If people don't like city spending huge amounts of money then you'll just have to get over it because it's going to happen regardless of what anyone thinks.
I don't know about anyone else but i'm looking forward to the ride - signing the best player in the world is FUN and EXCITING - two things football is meant to be.

THIS !....

...blows every other argument out of the water, and is probably the best first post I have ever seen.

mate, I take it you are from Warrington, with the 'wire' prefix ?...do you drink in the famous King and Queen ?...

if we only sign players who come for the love Of the club half of us on here would get a game, GET REAL.

SWP loves the club doesn't he? What's so hard to understand? Players like Kaka may come, but they'll just as soon fck off at the earliest opportunity or at the first sign of things going not quite to their liking.

so out of our current squad who really loves the club?
you couldn't make a starting 11
get real

Yeah i'm from warrington and a season ticket (still can't say seasoncard) holder all my life. I'm 26 and never seen city win a thing apart from going to wembley to watch us go up. So for that reason i say bring on the best players in the world and let the thousands of people of my generation see us win something. I think some fans in the past have worn the fact they have followed us down in div2 like a badge of honour. Yes it was fantastic that we kept our support down in the depths of obscurity but i'm not proud of the fact we were down there in the first place. I want to see us win a trophy!!!

Sorry mate didn't even answer your question and went off on one again! I have been in the king and queen but it's by no means a regular for me - go in there before wire matches etc. I support the two great underachievers of rugby and football!

RAG ALERT

Fella's this is a first and I hope you don't get too naffed off about it.

My opinion on Kaka is this; if he joins City then it's just another nail in football's coffin IMO. Whilst not doubting for one second how massive a coup it would be for the blues to obtain such a great player does anyone really think he'd be coming for the love of the club?

Come on, get a grip. He'd only be coming for one reason and one reason only; money. He's like most of these other pampered mercenaries who only see a pot of gold and want everything they can grab. £150 to £250K a week, that's nonsense and for me, he can stay in Italy rather than rob the club blind.

The rags look like they are going to lose Tevez at the end of the season as their owners are doing their level best to fulfill our dreams and destroy them from within. Wouldn't he be just as good an option at half the price? Alright he's not as good looking as the rest of the squad but you've got to take the rough with the smooth sometimes.

Wireblue ,the Warrington Branch of the City Supporters Club is at the K&Q and the lads there are top drawer ,always up for a laugh, a few scoops and a sing-song.

I was a member when I played RL for Rylands before I moved due to work, am also a Wire fan ,Alfie Llanger is still my hero....;¬)

Yeah i know the supporter's club is there - to be honest i've always gone the games with my dad and bro and never got involved but i may well nip down. Alfie was a legend. My all time hero is Nat Wood though - nails. I used to play football for rylands - not hard enough for rugby!!

Nothing new. Rodney Marsh came for the money as well. In the old days they came for a washing machine for their mum. Only the amount changes.
