Whatever united fans say we were always of relevence even if only for comedy value,until pisscan drops dead then they'll always be in top 2/3, hopefully they'll go sane way as when busby went,can't see it though.

I can't ever seeing them not be challenging with us for titles. I think we will get the lions share, but they will always be there or thereabouts. When Fergie retires, well that will be interesting to see how they handle that. An entire empire changing hands so to speak, it is then we will see them perhaps wain a bit, but I can't ever see them being merely a mid-table club or being relegated like we were.

All the experts on here wrote them off 2 seasons back and they won the league and got to the champs league final. The same predictions came for last season yet they were seconds away from another title. They're weakening, perhaps, but it's a slow process.

I wouldn't like any competition with them, ideally I'd like them to suffer in the worst way possible whilst City win 35 back to back Champs Leagues.

I don't, nor do i mean to get to far ahead of myself, but the though had crossed my mind.
Let's be honest, up until 2008 and the derby win at o.t. under sven and the takeover, we were really nothing more than a small thorn in their side. Now of course were the whole bloody thorn bush, drawing blood from just about everywhere possible.
I mean if Chelsea get stronger with new signings like it looks like they will, and we also add some key players in certain area's to push on again for another title, and European honours, where will united figure in things ? I just can't see them buying big and even coming close to filling the holes that Briggs and Scowls leave when they pack it in the 5 years time.
In short are united the next arsenal ? And will us and Chelsea be fighting for top spot ? I'd love to see the bugger's fade a little and start maybe struggling for a UCL spot, see fergie take them back to where they were when he started, and see how the horrids react to being average at best. It sounds bad but with the crap I've put up with for decades from their so called loyal winning fans, i wan't us to twist that blue dagger again and again like we did on the last day of the season. I want them to feel our pain, like we did for 20 yaers, but unlike our fan's i know they will never be able to cope emotionally. Am i all twisted ???? Lol. CTIDAB.

Totally disagree with that bit, even when we were in the third tier they were singing about us, the "obsession" cut both ways.

Personally I don't want them to be an irrelevance, beating them to the trophies most seasons would be far more enjoyable.

We did'nt hurt them where it matters though, on the green stuff for a long time. Now it's a whole new game of course. We made their title our title! That's where it matters!

initially i did my fair share of taking the piss, in the short term i`ve really enjoyed it, in the long term however i think to ignore them is the right thing to do, well unless they start getting cocky again
