would football be boring if we won the league every year?

After 20 or 30 consecutive wins it'll probably be pretty dull so I'd welcome competition from all over Europe excluding Trafford.

A few FA Vases or whatever, if it still exists, can go their way just to keep their morale up but aside from that I'd take nothing but delight in that club slowly descending to hell.

I can't see it happening to be honest. They might have a lean spell, perhaps even a lean decade but I can't see them replicating our 80/90s farces. Maybe that's worse for them, no relegations, no promotions, just 10 years of Stuart Pearce era MCFC action on a weekly basis!

Maybe I'd feel differently if they did fall so low as to become fairly irrelevant, maybe I'd miss the hatred/passion but for now I just can't see it ever happening so it remains a brilliant fantasy.

I just have a feeling that 20 years Is about the biggest cycle of success any club can hope for.
Look back through history, liverpool being the latest.
Don't ever think it can't happen. Even the Roman empire burned in a night!
Not sure what i would like to happen really. I really don't care about them, but thought being what it is, we share now a certain relevance together, like it or not.

The Glazer ownership won't last forever, they could end up with good owners for all we know. Our best hope is a very long period of instability and not being able to find the right manager after Baconface retires. If rumours of Giggs or Solskjaer taking over are true, I don't care if they have United DNA they would have a hard time.

TMQ, that is cruel.
Though, if any set of fans deserve it, its them.

Dont really give a toss about them, they will always be about but I think the comment regarding 20 years as a maximum for domination is a fair one.

When Bacon Face goes they will wobble, but I expect they will not make the same mistake as they did with Busby and leave him rattling about at the Swamp looking over the new managers shoulder.

Op a better wording would be "What are the chances of the rags sliding down the ladder". It just sounds a little "raggish" atm op (i know your not a shit poster so not knocking you mate :) )

They along with possibly Chelsea will be our main challengers over the next few seasons. I dislike Ferguson immensely, but while he is in charge they will be a force.
He must be given his due, getting 89 pts last season, with the players at his disposal was some achievement, I doubt any other manager could have got that many pts from that group of players.

In a weird way it'd be a much better punishment for them!

We always took a bit of joy in the promotions following the relegations but the Pearce era promised no joy, I've blocked a lot of it from my mind to protect myself

I'd love a repeat of this season every season league wise! They will never go away and probably always be in top 4, so let's just be better than them every year
