One of her 200m races earlier this season, she ran, won it easily in a superb time against a top class field and was hardly out of breath. Incredible fitness.Shericka Jackson so good over 200m.
She'll be going for Flo-Jo's record in Paris.
Keely won't be short of a few quid, she spends our winter training in South Africa. Her training partner, goes over with her as well and had to pack his job in. He's a good mate of my Niece and her boyfriend. You'd be surprised in athletics, with coaches, flights, training, medical etc... to pay for. I imagine Keely is earning enough to be living comfortably but it's the trickle down affect for other athletes in that race who will probably be making just enough to compete.
Keely gets the title so thats some consolation.
National wildcard for those that don't know means because the meeting was held in America, as hosts the Americans could invite 1 American athlete per event to participate if they wished. Nowt wrong with that, obviously. Not as if they have a shortage of world class athlete's over there.
The next 4 finals are all in Europe, Brussels and Zurich rotating. Think the powers that be are starting to understand. Coe's interview at the world's being a prime example.Which is fair enough, it happens at every other meet, I think for the Final they should reconsider it though.
Hopefully they don't pick Eugene for the final again though, some of those world class performance deserved a better audience.
