Erm how have Slovakia got two in the decathlon and we have none? Surely there must be someone who could have a go? Sure fuck it might throw an entry in for the next one myself if nobody else can be arsed with it
Honestly, my thoughts exactly the same when I saw the Czechia bloke.

the last one was Dean Macey whose injury record surpassed John Stones

There's 9 lanes on most world class tracks now, lane 1 isn't used in the relays unless something has happened. So I assume they'll get that lane.

I think they always try to keep 1 lane clear now, in case of appeals.
Just seen SA had to do a rerun this morning on their own to see if they could get a qualifying time, they didn't, probably fair but it's a lot different with nobody to race and no crowd.
Keeley is on soon, she's rightly the red hot favourite, but her saying shes proud to have reached the last five major finals maybe shows a bit of a doubt? Hope not

Good run for the British girls. Really fast time, sometimes you can't do anything more and I think that's the case here. Keely has missed most of this season so to come back and medal is a success.

Not sure what happened to Mills there. Been an awful champs for GB to be honest. Two of the four relay teams not making the final and so many individual performances that didn't quite do what they should have.

There are no givens in sport but unless we get a lot more investment we are in danger of being left behind. We always seem to bottle our chances, where the favourites in other events go on and deliver more often than not.

I think in an ideal world Keely would have paced it fast but with less surges. Moraa surged at 200m, 400m and 500m, she had nothing left at the end.

I think Keely being injured for 3-4months obviously didnt help.
That’s right, those months off for Hodgkinson would count with fitness levels. Georgia H-B medal was tremendous though.

That might be the best 4x400m I've ever seen, brilliant from Kebinatshipi on the last leg.

Van Niekerk needs to come back to the 400m, he dragged South Africa back into that.

Nice to see the lottery money being used wisely….
To be fair, its still not enough compared to our rivals.

The US gets far more money than we do and the others like Kenya have perfect training conditions, conditions that we have to pay for.

I think we'll be much stronger in the years to come, the uptake of running in this country suggests that just by sheer numbers we'll find some talent.

I know it's a bit brutal but Mills is never going to medal in any major Championship. He just lacks any form of finishing speed which is a must have at this level.

There is a decent chance the women can win the 4x100 gold here.

3 women in 200m final means we're strong enough.

America, Jamaica and GB should be close, probably America favourites.
