As we know the potential semi finals (ie Chelsea/Madrid vs Atleti/City etc) do we know which is semi 1 and which is semi 2 and which game is on on the 26th and which is on on the 27th?

My mum had a fall last night and broke her humerus which wasn’t too funny so I’m going to pop over to the U.K. to be there for her for a couple of weeks so I’m trying to book some return flights but seeing as the total trip time is 36 hours, I’m trying to sort it so I avoid missing any games (yes I’m a kindhearted son like that) as I can’t imagine being in the air during a potential CL semi through poor planning.
Can’t answer your question but I hope your mum is ok.

Caught a couple of whales with this one I see.

Atletico will play the same first half with 11 players behind the ball to try & limit the score to 1-0. When they do push players further up the pitch id'e expect us to pick them off & add more goals.
Even though we will want win the game, we’re not going to start the match as we would if the score were level. I reckon we’ll be happy to pass the ball around in front of their 11 players, keeping possession. I’m not expecting our full backs to be bombing forward too much and Bernardo or Gündogan will be sitting fairly deep keeping Rodri company. At some point they will have to change their usual approach

They'll wait until the last 20 mins to do that and then they do have a threat. If they keep it to 1-0 on aggregate going into the last 20 they'll have done their job.

If we score then it'll become a really open game. If not it'll be a chess match.

If we keep moving them around with our passing game they will be very tired, especially their forwards, when they get to the last 20 mins.

I expect to see a similar situation to when Simeone made 3 subs at once.

They can't beat us over 180 mins of open football, but in a 20 minute shootout on their home turf they have a better chance. They'll have plans too.

They'll see themselves like The 300.

One of City’s more underrated qualities is our ability to see out the final stages of a match when we have a one goal lead. We’re brilliant at moving the ball around, making tired players chase it. And often those tactics lead to a goal eg our third against united in 18/19

This is going to be a really hard game to win. I imagine their crowd will be as vociferous in their appeals as their players for fouls, free kicks, penalties etc. City will need to be so professional & not get invloved in any retaliatory behaviour as Atletico will lap it up. Its going to be really close. Good luck City and hit them on the break.

Cancelo, KDB still one yellow away from missing first leg of semifinals. of course we still have to earn the right to play in those games.

Real has no players on similar risk, Chelsea have Rudiger and Loftus Cheek.
