Atletico (H) | CL QF 1st Leg | Post Match Thread

Sorry but can I remind those arse holes who claimed that we had wasted £40M on Ake to hold their hands up and say they got it completely wrong !!
The lad has never let us down and once again another wonderful performance.
100% agree
Never heard him moan about lack of gametime
Proper professional
Great option as left back / CB
Stones also looked decent at right back again

Classic bullying. Jealous of the price tag, his profile, the way he looks.

Little do they know Jack loves this shit. He revels in it. Remember he sat there and laughed when the brum fan hit him? He was loving it the same then on the pitch.

Hope he starts next week. Guaranteed they’ll have at least 2 sent off.

Is he that handsome?

ANyway, I love the way Jack gets under the skin of the opposition players, he has to start in the 2nd leg.

Just before the end when a couple of them were trying to get him at it. By that stage he was laughing it off but loved the way Ferna was straight over there after the whistle just in case.

I remember when that Birmingham fan ran on to the pitch and hit him a few years ago, and he just sat on the pitch and laughed. I know we see Jack mouthing off sometimes, but I get the impression he's always in control. Bit of handbags now and then but unlikely to lose his head.

A frustrating match to watch because of how the opposition set up. We had some nice possession without much penetration, and one or two sloppy mistakes.

Foden changed the game. It was crying out for someone to take the ball on the turn and run at them, and he did it.

Kev always turns up when we need him. There's no-one I'd rather that chance had fallen to.

Ake was immense. I'm so pleased to see him turning in these kinds of performances. We really do have 4 fantastic centre-backs, and given our full-back situation the the cover they provide in those positions is vital.

Talking of fantastic centre-backs, I just love watching Stones on the ball. Didn't have a lot to do defensively today, but always reliable in possession, looking for opportunities to move the ball forward, and those long passes are gorgeous.

Second match would be tough especially in first minutes ,and if we want to hope we have to score first.... anyway , in tonight's game we had a good performance but 1-0 is not enough against a total different team in them home in a few nights and with a Mediterranean hot atmosphere.... Ps.... Jesus is out for the game in Madrid, walker also , let's hope for Dias return....
