Dull first half. Livened up a lot after our substitutions. Good performances from Ake, KDB and the subs. Gundo was quiet and Sterling seemed to be playing for free kicks so much that he didn’t get a pen when it looked to me like he was actually brought down.

The lad has never let us down and once again another wonderful performance.

I always felt that he had the best defensive instincts of any of our defenders and certainly of our fullbacks, which is a position he’s having to learn.
He’s learning our game and quite often I thought he was getting criticised for seeming to be out of position, when often it looked like he was covering a missing fullback.
He doesn’t carry the ball as comfortably as Stones or perhaps Laporte, although he too is not without his occasional gaffs. But Ake is getting comfortable with that too.I think he will prove to be great business.he covers CB and FB and can play in a back three if necessary.
A great utility defender to have. He’s growing into his role/roles.

Second match would be tough especially in first minutes ,and if we want to hope we have to score first.... anyway , in tonight's game we had a good performance but 1-0 is not enough against a total different team in them home in a few nights and with a Mediterranean hot atmosphere.... Ps.... Jesus is out for the game in Madrid,walker also , let's hope for Dias return....
