Three standouts, Ake again (the haters seem to have gone quiet), Kev and Phil.

Phil gets my vote for that pass.
 
Kev for being back to his best.
To be mentioned in dispatches:
- Nathan for another solid performance
- Phil for changing the game and outcome
 
I'm voting for multi ball ,would love to see it in the league ,made an instantly forgettable match slightly better
 
Phil and Kevin getting a lot of deserved praise but the player that did most to provided the 0-0 to give us the win from 1 goal was Ake and he gets my vote.

I thought Kev wasn’t at his best yesterday. Was very sloppy in possession and gave the ball away in dangerous positions multiple times. But, as he’s a class player, he’s involved in the big moment and grabs the winner!
 
Ake came very close after being heavily involved and barely putting a foot wrong.
Then Foden came on, and his cameo nearly stole it. But i'm giving it Kev for his herculean efforts over 90 minutes and a clinical finish to win it.
 
Thought that Kev was sloppy at times, but he had lots of desire in his play and eventually got his reward. For me, he was man of the match overall. Ake was very good at the back and I was pleased that he put in a good performance again. The young maestro changed the game when he came on and his pass through to Kev was sublime. This was a good result bearing in mind the boring, cheating and whining opposition. Let’s go and treat them to the same next week.
