Were the Villa fans taunting their opponents with tin foil Champions League replicas? What a bunch of tossers they are!
Worst fans in the world Villa, spend all their games chanting about other clubs support being shit, whilst they have played some home games in the emptiest stadium I’ve ever seen. They were only selling out half an away end until the £30 tickets came in as well.

Versus City…

tNo, the club isn't listening. It hasn't listened. It has read this thread, but it has ignored a cross section of views, with the majority of those views wanting and supporting a proper vocal home end. Good luck at the meeting with the club, whenever it takes place.

PS. Hope any meeting with the club goes well. Don't want to come across as a miserable, complaining, b@stard. :-)
Atmosphere doesn't increase the bottom line directly when almost every game is a sell-out, though it might if it gives the team an advantage and they progress in cup thus generating more revenue.
The south ends of level 3 of the east and CB stands occasionally made some noise as they were close to the south stand, so the club made them corporate when the south stand was extended. Why not put Joes and 93:20 at the north ends of those stands? And the corporate block in the middle of SS2 was a piss-take. The club were warned but ignored the warning.

How was the atmosphere at Arsenal away, hearing rumours of loads of tourists and shit atmosphere. Couldn’t hear the City fans on TV which was unusual.

It always has tourist in even when we got half allocations. Last time we got beat 1-0 there in 2012 there were Arsenal fans on most of the back row.

Go back to the night game in 2007 and then the visit under Sven with about 1000 there.

I was there and I thought the support was loud and consistent from us. Arsenal fans were rubbish until they scored, never mind only one song, it was only one word - ar se nal ar se nal, plus 2 renditions of by far the greatest team. They were extremely loud when they scored though. If you couldn’t hear the City fans then Sly definitely dimmed the microphones

Agree - definitely loud. A lot of "Champions ole ole" and several cries of "Is this the Etihad?" No follow you everywhere which would have been good, especially at the end.

Thought our support was pretty good at Arsenal on Sunday, away fans never come through on TV at Arsenal probably due to the microphone setup.

There were large parts of the second half when it was only us singing.

Arsenal were very loud after they scored, but before then it was a fairly standard big game atmosphere, they were far better last year.
