Atmosphere 2024/25

Some of the stuff about tourists on here gets a bit tiresome. If you're a new City fan taking it all in, wearing a half n half, videoing parts of the game, but shouting for the team, you're very welcome. You'll learn the etiquette eventually. If you're an event tourist, who just likes football, then enjoy the game, maybe get into supporting City. If you're an opposition fan, it's a bit annoying that you have a home ticket, but sit down and shut up, and hopefully lose.

The Real Madrid game tickets went down to anyone with a single UCL attendance since the start of last year, and thousands left at that criteria. So no excuses about non-availability for the legacy or local fans. I paid £65 in total for 1 Adult and 2 U18s, to see the English champions against the European champions in a knock-out tie of the biggest club football competition in the world, and a continuing part of it's biggest most recent rivalry.
So no complaints about the cost (at least relative to any other clubs, or any other entertainment).

The availability is good, the price is fair, the opposition is glamorous, so stop whining like Arsenal's fans, stop blaming everyone else like Liverpool fans, and just shout loud and proud, and lift the roof and have a good crack at this mob next Tuesday. They're beatable, the tie is winnable, unless we keep dicking around at the back, in which case ignore the above, and have a good and justified moan. No negativity. Bring it on.

It’s 11th v 22nd in the Gutter Round of the Champions League. It’s about as unglamorous as the European Cup has ever been, rewarding utter mediocrity for a bit more cash. On the English football ladder, it’s the equivalent of Brentford playing Burnley.

I’m fully into this delusion that we’re going to make a mockery of the competition, UEFA and the Top8 by going on to win the CL from 22nd, and I’ll be as vocal as always at every game… but this Gutter Round is a bit of a joke, we should definitely be out having been as shit as we have and finishing 22nd.

Don't go so, if it's in the gutter round, let someone who cares have your ticket. It's a big game, even if our form is shit. Nobody forcing anyone to go and see Brentford v Burnley. The whole world wants to see City v Real Madrid. Regardless of form.

City end today.
From mates who went.
Atmosphere was decent.
Plenty of day trippers.
Not as many away regulars as usual.
City fans leaving on the 80th minute.
Sounds like another mixed bag away end in London.
This always seems happens in London.

No - I am sorry, it was terrible - (end of row Q right by the home fans) I have a photo of at least 20 empty seats around us, day trippers/tourists everywhere - one lad literally filmed the entire game on his iPhone, No one joining in any of the songs but me and an even older FOC next to me, and worse of all, in the row in front 6 Orient fans, two of which jumped up when the scored, who I had to ask to get removed (which they were, thankfully without any trouble).

I know I am a broken record - but what the holy fuck is going on? I had three mates all on about 22,000-24,000 points who were desperate for tickets and couldn't get. I really thought today was going to be like Luton away, but it was even worse than Arsenal away, and more like the Charity Shield. I just don't get it?? How are these people getting tickets?????

Another example of the club taking a large percentage of the away tickets and giving them to who?

Were away ticket distributions mentioned in the letter? I'll double check.

Even after shenanigans at Liverpool and Leicester, the club continues to give hard to get away tickets away for the London games.

Out of the original allocation of away tickets, how many roughly did the club syphon off before the away tickets went to loyalty points holders?

Why did you get them removed ?

Bit mardy that IMO.

Guy in front of me filmed most of game and I thought he was a day tripper but he claimed to be a SC holder living in London. Wasn’t convinced but he was extremely passionate. However to his left we’re about six people who I am pretty sure had no idea what they were watching, could have been rugby union, theatre, tennis.

How the fuck were orient fans in our end? If you have row and seat numbers you must email club and demand answers. If it’s come from a staff allocation then all staff tickets must be stopped.

Pretty sure that 60% of the allocation went on sale to points for this one but out of that pot came the junior pull through and the 18-25 allocation. Can anyone on here confirm hospitality split and OSC split. Think that should be 35% leaving 5% which would have been around 55

Carried on supporting my team, maybe have a bit of banter.
I noticed a fair few City fans in the Home seats celebrating, hope they weren't escorted out.
Just my opinion. Getting 6 people chucked out wouldn't do it for me.
He’s a grumpy guy, maybe he felt that if we were trailing late in the game he’d become antagonistic towards them and so he decided to take the sensible option and defuse the situation while he was still calm

I think you would be of the ejection variety, not a smack em type.
Pathetic.
You’ve no way of knowing that have you grandad

This is a thread a large part of which is devoted to blues being unable to get tickets to big away games and you’re defending home fans being in our end …. that’s pathetic

Live football tickets website had tickets available in our end and their end the other day. (Over 30 advertised in our end) and they were cheaper at about £150 than they were in their end. Maybe they were tourists supporting Orient. Mental.

It was great in the Home section, especially for a 12.15pm kick off. Our fans sounded loud enough to me.
