Atmosphere 2024/25

It’s a tough ground to get an atmosphere going. I’d be surprised if any club does at Wolves away. Can’t hear the other end of the stand and so can only hear your own little area which has maybe 30/40 involved. Clever of Wolves to put the away fans there. Sun shining in your eyes when it’s sunny and spread out. Very quiet compared with say Chelsea away this season which was very good and loud all game.
We were excellent that evening game when de Bruyne ripped them apart three years ago.

Which is why City must relocate away fans down to ESL1/SSL1 round the corner flag....the worst location in the stadium for atmosphere !!

People seen to underestimate the potential improvement this will have on the atmosphere ....!!
Not true. Have you heard the racket we make at places like Leicester and United when we’re round the corner flag? And the racket we make at places like Palace and Villa when we’re on the side near the corner flag?

I actually do agree with you but, do you type this out each time or is it a cut & paste job?

Underneath the roofs and TV positions...makes a huge difference.

Can't hear City's singing section in ESL1 or SSL1 for the opposite reason.

Possibly because it will worsen the atmosphere to put away fans where they won't be heard? Evidence for this is the shite atmosphere at any home game against Fulham, who without question have the least vocal away support.
The best atmosphere usually comes with a vocal away following which stirs the home fans into making more noise.

Nice bit of banter between the fans when Nunes came on:
Wolves: Something unintelligible about Nunes. - City: Something about Nunes winning the league.
Wolves: Your teeth are offside, your teeth are offside, Matteus Nunes, your teeth are offside.
City: He's won more than you, he's won more than you, Matteus Nunes, he's won more than you.

Then they played their trump card: What a waste of money. - Oh well, there's no denying that.

Dreadful last night until it started kicking off with the away fans, then it was a decent last half hour and the team fed off it and raised their game obviously feeling we were getting behind them.

Before then, the atmosphere was dull and the team fed off that as the match was dull.

Alexander-Arnold and Valverde of Madrid before him have said the same things about the Etihad. We are incredible for the big games.

This is something I hear a lot from Rags who come to the Etihad for games, they’re surprised that our atmosphere is good (1min 02secs in):

If people could just be more bothered for games like tomorrow, where most of the ground will be frustratingly very quiet and inactive, nobody would ever say anything about our atmosphere.

IMO....This is Shirley where 1894 step up by establishing, in advance, a song book of simple atmospheric songs and chants .

Not trying everything, but concentrating on a 'less is more' regime of the best, and repeating, repeating, repeating the beat throughout the game so that everyone can get involved.

Shirley this is one of 1894s roles as fans leaders ??

If you pull Beyonce tomorrow night and get her back to yours i assume you'll put in a bit more effort than you would if you'd copped off with some slapper in the queue at the kebab shop .

Generally, fans create the appropriate atmosphere for any given game
