That’s because of the roof. This is why we have to have the singers at the back of the extended north stand.

I think price plays a part as well. There’s a lot more younger fans and old school city fans in there - many from ss1 and the corner as well.

I could hear the managers shouting at the players from the touchline. Only heard the away contingent sing 2 songs. Like others have said, the football on display was turgid and slow. Nothing to get you out of the seat for.

The back of 314 was bouncing all game and chants were spreading all over SSL3. Especially second half with an 8 minute rendition of follow you everywhere. The last 10 minutes before the game were great too, set the tone for the atmosphere in SSL3, should turn off the music more often. Hope the noise spread round the ground like it did in the South Stand.

It did, I thought SSL3 were excellent second half.

Taking yesterday as a stand alone event.

There wouldn't be that many first time attendees .... you're not getting a ticket without a history and not many would be passing tickets on.....unless could the club be complicit?

What I'm trying to say is who buys these fucking things if they attend games during the season?

I can cope with an American/Aussie on the trip of a lifetime but anyone else.

Bar the odd away following, away fans at the Etihad have been absolutely dreadful this season, so far.

United are normally pretty quiet at the Etihad compared to other away grounds they go to, but yesterday they were very quiet.

I have a phoney Facebook account for the purposes of just keeping track of the supporters club news. Anybody noticing on social media them waxing lyrical about Utd's support? They were absolutely fucking horrific. Barely knew they were there until the penalty. Either deluded (which to be fair most of them are) or are armchair supporters and weren't there.. again (which most of them are).

Level 3 in South Stand was really good. Was it a coordinated thing in the back of 314? That block in particular is worthy of their own praise.

There’s a video on Facebook of the United fans kept in after the final whistle, and the Etihad is completely empty of City fans.

The caption reads, listen how loud United fans are at the Etihad (they would be in an empty stadium), or something similar.

The initial comments, which I stopped reading eventually, were hilarious, about how great United’s away support is, and was at City.

As you say, social media is nothing but a cesspool of half truths and lies. If you were at the match you’d now how poor United’s away support was yesterday, bar 3 minutes of full-time, extra time, and after the final whistle, locked in.
