Leyton Orient is going to be an interesting one.

How many tickets will the fans actually get once the club have taken their allocation, and sponsor and hospitality allocations?

Football fans are being hoodwinked in boardrooms across the country, that'll be solved soon when the tourists completely outweigh the rank and file and you'll be lucky attending 3-4 matches a season and consider yourself lucky.

I took my lad to his first away day yesterday, getting a ticket off someone on here. So I was taking a few pics of him thinking, I bet I look like a right tourist! But seemed to be quite a few others doing the same thing, and there were definitely a few around me who weren't there through points/supporters clubs and I doubt got tickets off this forum either.

Arsenal tickets in the City end for £400 on the tout sites at the minute. I know that doesn't mean they exist...but strange.

The number of internal tickets i.e. staff, players etc is meant to be 5% so for Ipswich that would have been 150. Match day squad is 20, plus Pep and his team which appears to number at least 15 when you add in everyone, could even be as many as 20, so that's forty tickets gone straight away. Then presumably directors, life presidents, various club departments etc receive some. But not all will use them so on this occasion someone has said I need eight for Ipswich can anyone help. Supposedly though these eight had been to other games that weekend, were they in the home or away ends? Why can't anyone at the club see that if anyone wants us they can come to the Etihad not take precious tickets from the away support. I am fine with a mum and dad, partner, kid etc but the club is now just taking the piss.

If a player doesn't use their 2 tickets for an away game, they should be going straight back onto the website for people with points. The attitude of thinking that because 3 players haven't used their tickets, they can just give all of them to one bloke, is a massive middle finger to the fans.

Exactly. Not only did he get his 2 away tickets, which is fair enough, he then was either given or he sourced another 6 away tickets from the staff pool that weren’t his to claim and take.

The away fans for Ipswich should be proud. The chants and songs were clearly heard on the TV yesterday and were hilarious.

Pep gets us and the importance of our away support

I have tbf. I enjoy watching football especially going to games.
I have even been in the away end at the Etihad which was a very odd experience.
My mate did that, against Wolves at home about 12 years ago or something. Lads we know who were in 111 grassed him up to the Wolves fans as a bit of a mates cunts’ trick to see what happened, but they strangley left him be.

I don't think this would be as bad if they didn't make it blatantly obvious by wearing the same items of clothing to each game!

As somebody else said I would completely understand 2 or 3 tickets being given to a staff member for a game but 8??!!
And that’s just off one staff member. How many staff members are giving out up to 8 tickets to non-City fans? Say there’s 30 staff members doing that, that’s 10% of our away allocation, and I couldn’t get a ticket yesterday despite going to City games since 1989.

Doing it once at Liverpool was disgraceful.
Doing it again at Ipswich is unforgivable.
Is Arsenal next?
It’s been going on for ages.

At Anfield (guessing as my memory may not be up to scratch) in about 2017, there was a full row of Hajduk Split fans supporting Liverpool.
Around 2018 at Huddersfield there was a row of German fans (can’t remember the club they supported) but they were just there, not supporting City.

Just seen a video on Instagram of Ipswich fan interviewing city fans asking there favourite chant all answered apart from the last 2 who had them yellow hats on there answer was we don't no any FFS stop giving away tickets to none city fans

The extra 8k seats in the North Stand is a real opportunity for the club to improve the atmosphere. It’s not just the extra seats though. The club needs to come up with a way for family and friends, and more importantly singers, to move together when people start moving around the stadium.

I know Danny Wilson fucked up the move from Maine Road to COMS by not inverting the Kippax seats and North Stand seats so that the singers would still be around the away fans.

The opening of SSL3 was another opportunity he had to improve the atmosphere which slipped through his grasp.

Will he fuck this opportunity up as well? History suggests he will.

They will fuck it up. Money over atmosphere, should be a corporate free stand but won't happen

I dont get why they all wore the same hats, if they didnt no1 would had a clue - i was upper tier row B and spotted them straight away. Obviously Anfield was taking the piss.

On another note, I don't see how people think staff or players are not allowed ticket allocation for games. Ipswich went low points and was plenty of spares about so not really an issue is it?

I've always thought clubs should do like it is in the champions league and have a section maybe in directors area just make it abit bigger for players families who fancy the trip. Charge each club who fill it abit more and then that doesn't affect the normal allocation
