I have accepted tourists as part of a new generation of fans, but hearing the cheer in east stand level three when Madrid scored the third, accompanied by vast swaths of Madrid fans taking selfies was painful.

Anyway, I thought the atmosphere was a bit flat.

The tourist mix is pretty insane at these games, really feels like very few actual City fans in some blocks

Confronted 3 Madrid fans and bizarrely got called racist by them for asking them to cover up their Madrid scarves, stewards came up.and told me they can only be rejected if they celebrate if they score ,.last champions league game.for me the club can fuck.off.

It’s probably not an original thought but it just struck me that the gentrification and sanitisation that has seen the atmosphere at City turned into just A N Other identikit big sporting event vibe perfectly mirrors the gentrification and sanitisation of town since the IRA bomb, transforming it into just another soulless identikit modern city

I really didn’t enjoy that tonight. Felt like I was an imposter in some random football stadium with a generic crowd that I wasn’t a memeber of. We’ve had a lot of tourists before but for the first time ever that didn’t feel a City crowd tonight.

Feel exactly the same mate, never felt so disconnected from our club, we’ve gone too far, for the first time I can totally understand fans chucking it in, I won’t give up the ST just yet but if it ever feels anywhere close to what it did tonight then it’s in the bin

The Madrid game last season made my mind up ,I went to the bus welcome. I was early n bored but anyway I actually felt a stranger at my home ground ,,after that I made my mind up ,no more chumps league for me and yer know sumert I've not missed it 1 jot

I did but saying the club should try and do better. You can join Citizens and buy and sell was the point I was trying to make. Don't have to be a supporter for real. I know visiting people getting them off foreign websites. Whoever is at fault it needs a big rethink.

The atmosphere was quite good tonight overall. The songs were the right ones and were going around the stadium. It didn’t have the intensity of other big champions league games we’ve had but that reflected the game and the current team.

You could see on the box when City scored the Pen, ss lower celebrating like fuck the camera carried on Erling and when he moved over to Colin Bell Level 1 there were shitloads showing fuck all emotion. It's gone now for me attending games live
